We can only hope that the state disolves Metroplex because the politicians never will too much money to be made by the friends and family club.

Never happen! They are all biting at the bit to control it.....the dems are hanging on for dear life and the reps 'want it bad'!!! Until the 'people' get their heads outta their a$$4s and get a petition together to put it up for a vote via a a referendum.......sadly it's here to stay.

But the state Republican leaders ....

The people won't understand because the leaders in both parties want it that way.  And if WE the people continue to play into this "DEM implosion" political blame game, it will certainly NEVER change.  The people are getting swindled by both the Republicans and Democrats.  Both hide the fact of the reality going on.

I do agree with you.   I think the intentions were good when Metroplex was created, however I doubt the previous administratio (local AND state levels) ever thought it would grow to such wild uncontrolled spending.    Even in the earliest days, the places that were built/started before the mayor of BS took over, the tax exemptions were only partial and and temporary.   But the dems have expanded it to peramanent 100% tax exemptions.   And that is wrong.

And both sides don't want to admit it's a total failure

Thank GOD for the Metroplex, the sundry fine businesses that it supports -- AND for the Renaissance and the glorious leaders who are actively making our community BETTER. Those who disagree can GFT.

There's DV again, posting under the name of one of his imaginary friends.   He's getting his jollies again, just had an orgasm.

Everyone notices that Ronnie's words used to be almost identical in earlier days across his initial name and subsequent imaginary friends (just so he could give himself a positive reputation).   But now that more truths are coming out by the day,
AND we are providing the EVIDENCE which DV cannot dispute (nor can DV produce ANY evidence to prove what he writes), DV is changing his tone with his DV name and proceeding with his true cheerleader for the wild spending under the name(s) of his imaginary friends.   A cuckoo who has not flown from the next yet despite aging)

come on folks........it's clearly just a copy catter! that is more than obvious....no?

As far as the METROPLEX/GILLEN..............it obviously needs to be abolished....but that ain't gonna happen, case the state is lovin' the sales tax.........EVEN THOUGH.......the taxpayers are hemorrhaging!!

They really don't give a damn......dem or rep!! Unless the residents stop laying down and playing the victim and stand up to these thugs........it will be 'higher taxes' as usual!!

Obviously the intentions have been the same since there is no opposition from the Republican state leaders that have the power to change it.  Not only is there no opposition after the first 10 years and $50 million of Metroplex failure, the Republicans praised it and increased the cap by 50%.  The Republicans are actually praising Gillen's stewardship of Metroplex and touting it as a success.

The uncontrollable spending is what makes both political parties support it.  More money means there is enough taxpayer money to go around to grease both party interests.  The minute one of the parties thinks their political interest isn't getting the cut they think they deserve, that is when one party of the other will oppose it.

But it was under Stratton, the 100% DEM city council, the SAVAGE dem woman leading the co legislature, and Gillen that decided to give out 100% property tax exemptions with no end date to downtown millionaires and politically connected

And all we hear are crickets coming from state republicans.  Roger Hull didn't even make an issue of these exemptionsduring his campaign.  Maybe because Union was on the same gravey train.

city gypsies don't care about taxes....just places to play....it's the landlords that SUCK....

IT'S CALLED BEING SERVED....these are folks that if given land to farm and feed themselves they wouldn't survive...
well, maybe using guns....they are the 'underserved' that politicians like Tonko like to make dependent voters....he doesn't care if they
own property...as long as they can vote.....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
