Now watch that big cheerleader for the dems, "Mr Know-it-All" DV (of no Reason) come post on here that his dems are so wonderful that they got the work completed ahead of time.

But we who are intelligent know full well that they put a further date of an end of the ban just because they wanted to claim they got work done ahead of schedule.

Good thing this is over.  Wouldn't want something to get in the way of the police officer that was tailgating me as he drove past a house in straight daylight that was watering the lawn yesterday during the ban.  Maybe it was the end of his shift and he needed to get back, don't remember exactly what time it was.

Wow, the ban ended two whole days early!   This administration is doing a wonderful job (TIC).   And did the Town order a spare backup pump and/or motor so we don't go thru this situation again???

ROTTERDAM - The town has lifted a watering ban brought about by this month's dry conditions.

Was it a failed pump - or dry conditions that brought this on?

Can anyone get their stories straight?

ROTTERDAM — Effective immediately, the watering ban in the Town of Rotterdam has been lifted, according to Harry Buffardi, town supervisor.

Beginning today, the sprinkling regulations should be adhered to, he said.

It was a failed pump in Rotterdams largest water district, from the article I read.

At least SOMEONE's getting the story straight.  God knows the administration can't (and I don't mean just the one running town now).

do you think there will be a request for funds for a

new pump
new wellhead and pump
a second water main

a study on what effect all the new condos / appartments would have on the water districts

they don't care...it's called build and run....scorch and burn.....they will pay the sh!t forward as the 'cousins' have
in the past....

as you kidding  - they (the dem party) have no balls to ask for money for needed infrastructure - cause the otherside will scream you raised taxes  - but the police chief will get $$$ for pensions and  a super slick contracts for his staff - and that is not raising taxes  - it is a
contractual expense and the other party will agree

You are so absolutely correct.  And no cheerleader for the dems in the town, city, or county, can dispute that, not with evidence a

What part of watering ban don’t they get?

As I walk through my neighborhood each morning, it amazes me how lush five or six lawns are, even though there have been at least two watering bans in Rotterdam [July 12 Gazette].
It’s evident to me that these people are watering, probably very early or during the night, as I can see the water residue on the road. These are the same people who water every day, even though it’s not their specific day. There are police checking the area every so often, but I have never seen or heard of them giving a citation or even a warning.
Why is it that some people feel that they are special and not subject to the rules the rest of us have to follow? Where is the sense of fair play? Why do so many Americans have a “hooray for me — the-hell-with-you” attitude?

You'd be surprised how little they're checking the area, Marge.  They ARE the offendors.
