just where is this money going to come from - the town is broke in more ways than one

you think that Litz and Mercoglan are going to enforce a fine  - they would most likely wave the $85 court fee to

The money to pay to the people who help should come from the money brought in from the fines. Also, if the judges won't take care of the problem, they ARE part of the problem, and just like some other people "serving the people," should be through out on their @$$es next time the opportunity arises.

Can one have friends from Saratoga, Schenectady, etc. bring in water here to water ones garden or does the ban include any water even if it is from out of the area.   Can you go to a Rott. car wash and pay in the self serve and load up jugs of water from the rinse cycle hose.   Any penalty for watering with "outside" the area water.    Guess if you were fined for watering you/officials would have to prove the water came from out of the area.  Seams hypocritcal to allow as much water waste inside ones home, but not for a greening garden outside.

they call it 'waste' until the firetrucks have to start coming out....

What are "they" going to do?   Find every lawn that is green (in color) and ASSUME you watered?

The money that could be saved by not building and operating a new nursing home could provide more than enough money to insure adequate water and water infrastructure for all municipalities within this county such that there would not even need to be an odd-even sprinkling regulation.   And I DEFY anyone to prove to me otherwise (try to prove that private nursing homes cannot provide for indigent seniors)

Guess some homeowners that are away are going to lose their garden.

Come to think of it, does this ban apply to farms?  (are their any farms IN the town)

.

There is one farm that I can think of, but it's government run, so they can do what they want... The Mabee Farm.  And those homeowners that are already away can just expect to get a summons in the mail when they get back, considering their timers are already set for while they are out of town.

Was out early this morning, saw RPD at 3 times, at least 2 different cars in the 2 AM hour, including 1 that was tailgating me.  Wonder if they started cracking down on the horrible illegal waterers.

Folks at the donut shop say they just roll their hoses out (no sprinklers) and 'lay' them on their lawn/flowers/gardens. Not visible.

If they fixed their damn equipment, there wouldn't be a 'water' problem!!! Taxpayers are paying for faulty equipment???

The pumps at the well heads have been repaired many times over the years and new pumps are very expensive. As in the city, Rotterdams infrastructure is falling apart but no money to fix anything.

But there IS money to give handouts to millionaires and exempt them from paying property and school taxes !!    Maybe some town official on this board can explain WHY that is.   (ha, unable to support his comments, he avoids posting much)

If any one has any questions about official town business, he or she should either go to town hall or call town hall -- and direct the question to the appropriate person or persons.

The town does NOT conduct its official business through unreliable and uncredible (venues such as this blog.

Uncredible?????    Uh you DO know, DV, thar we DO provide TOTALLY CREDIBLE information on this board....it is CREDIBLE AND TRUTHFUL and is supported by EVIDENCE.

Remember DV, you do NOT provide EVIDENCE of any statement YOU make, which proves you are not in the least credible.   Tax money IS going for non-essentials like exemptions and handouts to millionaires, but the homeowners pay taxes and can't get the services they pay for.
