businesses should be able to donate to things that are not 'system' paid for....
we already pay for upkeep of town property/water/sewer/police/records etc etc.....although I applaud Garrow for effort to
clean up a town area, technically the town stole his time/$$....
it's been paid for....
It is NOT stealing someone's time if the person chooses to volunteer his or her time. Volunteering by definition is done willingly by the individual(s) and in case you have forgotten America has a long history of volunteerism -- neighbors working together -- doing something CONSTRUCTIVE - --- BUILDING UP the community. |

WOW!!!! I'm not even going to explain it.....I never said to NOT volunteer....HOWEVER, I 'volunteer' to pay my f'en taxes and some volunteer had to fill in the 'hole' left by town management....volunteer all you want.... my point was THEN WHERE DID THE TAX DOLLARS GO THAT I PAID TO HAVE TOWN UPKEEP? some a$$ sitting on a bench in a park? a donut shop? a bar? a diner? a parking lot? a 50 gallon drum? COLA? contracts? extra positions? trunks of cars? where o where?  |
