Over the past month or so on the public access channels, there has been a runnibg listing of said taxes due the city.   Question: Does anyone know how much they have received since the running of the tab began?   How one can find out the receipts taken in so far?   And what will be the consquences forthcoming if said owners don't pony up.   Some of these bills are $150K-180K.   I'm quite sure some/most (?) of  these properties are nowhere near equal to or more in value in regard to the amount of taxes due.    So it would seem like a lose/lose situation if a foreclosure is imminent. As opposed to the usually win/win terminology so much thrown about, it would seem the lose/lose applies here.   If the city forecloses they do not only lose the tax $ by the owner walking away, but the city takes over a less than desirable piece of property it must maintain from vandals, squatters, and potential arsonists.   Not to mention the grounds upkeep and any heating requirements, lest the pipes burst in the cold months.   Suppose the only plus to the city if they were to take possession would be they could further the demo. process faster.   But what to put in there place?   And judging by the addresses of many of these propertries they do not appear to be in the neighborhoods that are #1 on the desirable list.   So there exists this game of chicken with the city versus the owner.   The city prefers to have the $ and not the property with it's related upkeep costs, while the owner is in financial deep water.   Makes for an interesting chess game as well.   The next move is who's?

It's another failed attempt by the DEM morons to shame City sheeple into paying the outrageous City taxes. It's funny to see the DEM "leaders" on their list. Of course no one is paying. No can't sell so rack up the DEM usurious taxes and flee with your belongings. I thought this was going to be about the City taxes the DEMS still refuse to pay the City schools.

Well, at least we don't have to see that ultra STUPID recycling show for which all the taxpayer money used to produce that has NOT resulted in more people recycling, and it wont' unless the city start violating the people who fail to separate the trash (this one one time the tenants should be charged).

I want to see the story in the news, with copy of the deed, where the city taxes takes a certain someone's house to recoup the taxpayer funded demolition following that fire on Eastern & McClellan.   let's see if McC will stand up to the lowlife

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
