Does it really matter which day we pay homage to the government and their symbols? As long as Americans are putting the collective state before themselves, it doesn't matter what day it falls on. My favorite is Lincoln's birthday, he's killed more Americans than any foreign enemy, and we force the great great great grandchildren of southern Americans killed during Lincoln ordered slash and burn campaigns to honor him every year.

Well I was talking in the government language. The more accurate terminology would be confederates or the specific state the family resided.(Carolinian).

With the turmoil the world is in at this time and the stability America has provided for the world, I feel it is time for this proclamation I wrote. I am this nation, born on July 4, 1776. The Declaration of Independence is my birth certifi cate. I am over 300 million living souls, with the blood of the entire world running in my veins. I stood at Lexington and fi red the shot heard around the world — it still echoes! I am George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Patrick Henry, I am Robert E. Lee, Ulysses S. Grant and Abe Lincoln. I remember the Alamo, Pearl Harbor. Wherever I was challenged, I answered the call— in Flanders Field, Pearl Harbor, on the rock of Corregidor, the freezing slopes of Korea and the slimy, booby-trapped jungles of Vietnam. I am America! I am big — I sprawl from the Atlantic to the Pacific. I am big — more than 5 million farms, forests, fi elds, deserts and mountains. I am small — quiet towns, villages and cities that never sleep. Hey, there's an 'Occupy' rally down in Philly today! If you hurry, you can make it down there, march in the streets chanting how terrible America is and smoke a few bones. If your lucky, someone will be handing out some shrooms and playing Phish.

Nah...I don't feel like getting tear gassed, pepper sprayed and tasered today. Public protest of the government will get a night stick up a persons a** now-a-days. You know that Buck, you cheer the government thugs on- as they violently crush all dissent. All "great Americans" support that - along with bombing Middle Eastern nations, and droning Americans citizens.
