Think we just got an answer... from what source you ask????

Times Union @timesunion #Schenectady police taser man Tuesday after resisting arrest - for standing in intersection, pretending to shoot people with hand - Lauren
3 hours and nothing being reported on any news whatsoever.
Think about this intelligently.
If someone at MVP was having a heart attack, tripped and broke a leg or fell and cut their knee, intelligence would say that a paramedic responds and an ambulance responds. IF police responded to an incident were someone was having a heart attack, ONE car might be acceptable. But CLEARLY there would not be any need whatsoever for SIX cop cars to respond when cops are not the medical staff rendering service.
If an incident (that otherwise needs paramedic/ambulance attention) needs SIX cop cars to respond, then that MUST be something that involves actual crime.
Intelligence dictates that police respond to crimes. Intelligence dictates that medical emergencies that are not related to crimes do NOT need massive police response. Sure, a car accident requires a police officer for a report---of course ONLY ONE cope would be needed for such a report. Intelligence might say if someone has a medical emergency (NOT crime related), there MIGHT be a need to close off a street---NO COP CARS would be needed for that because they can put up those barricades.
So what is the need for six cop cars? Intelligence says six cop cars responding to something means it's got to be a serious criminal occurrence.
But then, we have the city of Schenectady where the lack of intelligence by the city leaders results in six cop cars to respond to insignificant occurrences, yes? One to actually work and five to stand around daydreaming?
And I'll bet that they were called at their homes and they had to speed down the northway from their homes 30, 40+ miles away in their taxpayer funded cars, yes? This is probably how McC justifies taking no action on the excessive use of taxpayer funded cars for high paid employees.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
Ah, this time, not a serious crime Just another one of the type of people that hang out downtown.

Cops: Man stands in intersection, threatens drivers
Published 01:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2012
SCHENECTADY - A man stood in a busy downtown intersection Tuesday, pointing his fingers like a gun and threatening to shoot motorists as they drove past Tuesday, police said.
Aaron J. Poulin, 30, of Schenectady was charged with resisting arrest and menacing after the odd incident at State Street and Nott Terrace. Police said he would undergo a psychological examination at Ellis Hospital.
The incident occurred at about 9:38 a.m.
Police said Poulin stood in the street and formed his hands into the shape of a gun. Poulin allegedly pointed his hands at drivers and told them he planned to shoot them.
Poulin allegedly fought with police when they arrived at the intersection. Police said they used a Taser to incapacitate Poulin.

He didn't have a weapon, but he was pointing his fingers like he did, so he was a dangerous criminal who had to be dropped where he was. Thanks, Boys in Blue. Wonder if he was one of the outpatients at the Ellis Clinic that's a block or 2 away from this location. Isn't that a psych treatment center?
I was stopped at the red light when they were pulling the barbs from the taser out of him, he was already in cuffs at the time. From the amount of cops and Sheriffs that were there you would have thought there was a shoot out

There was, just one was using an IMAGINARY gun. Can somebody say police brutality? Lawsuit anyone?
DON'T TASE ME, BRO, SCHENECTADY EDITION
(Unadulterated Schenectady, feel free to borrow / steal as needed)

I hear the fingernails at the end of that "hand" gun were long and sharp. That fingernail ould have caused quite a severe scratch on one of the half dozen boys in blue on the scene. I'm sure lethal options were discussed.
Actually, the call involved someone who obviously not in theer right state of mind. Big interesction, possibility of getting hit by car while you are getting him outof the intersection and the officesr were not occupied on other calls so they rushed to the scene.
Guy was combative and they felt taser was appropriate.
But, don't let me get in the way of "fun in the playpen".

You're right Visitor... This board complains about Crime in Schdy, then they celebrate those events like a New Orleans Mardi Gras.

Well, it IS a sign of the ongoing renaissance that Downtown Schitnecktitty is so wonderful and 'vibrant.'

See Visitor... Nothing "good" ever happens in Schenectady... If you should hear of anything "good" happening in Schenectady... post it on this board... They will make sure that it's eliminated immediately.
