Effective Immediately the Town of Rotterdam will be enforcing a water conservation measure that includes any unnecessary watering for the next 72 hours. On Friday, July 6, 2012 you may go back to the regular sprinkling regulations.
OK, the dems need to tell the taxpayers what this is all about.
FIRST, let me state that it's common sense that in a time of drought there is to be no watering whatsoever and such prohibitions have been enacted in the past.
We haven't had much rain lately, but we certainly are not in a drought, no such declaration has been made by the weather services.
Wednesday is the 4th, it does not matter about laws against firecrackers, sparklers and any other fireworks, they do get used. Common sense dictates that for the 4th, you keep your lawns well watered, any stray spark can start a fire on a dry lawn.
The prohibition is the next three days. There is no major rainfall expected but it says that it's OK to start watering again on Friday.
Clearly this prohibition has nothing to do with a drought condition. If the town was doing some work on watermains or something, it would be logical that the "bulletin" would read something like, "due to replacement of....," "due to reconfiguring the...." and the sentence would finish with "watering prohibition will be in place on Tuesday through Thursday."
So what's the big secret that the dems don't want the taxpayers to know about?
.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
Guess some cheerleader won't be able to run through mommies' sprinkler.
We have to backwash, but that doesn't require adding water

And clearly it is not related to the supply of water--the "well" is not running dry--because if that was the case the prohibition would not be for just these three days since other than slight possibility of a isolated quickie thunderstorm tomorrow, there's no rain coming before Friday.
So what's the big secret?

And on one of the Times Union's slowest days. The TU sees about 1/3 of the subscribers on any days Monday through Wednesday that it sees on Thursdays, about 1/4 of the subscribers that it has on a Sunday.
Well, they won't be upgrading their capacity because that money was looted and spent on Police Overtime and job protection. So this will happen more and more and there will be less and less $ in the special districts for reasonable upgrades as the demand grows.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
Someone said they saw town equipment on Putnam Rd working on something, could be a water main problem again.
Could that be why the water pressured seemed low even on the eastern side of the town? Our sprinkler yesterday didn't seem like it was shooting out as much.
Well, thank goodness we opened and filled the pool already.

Yep, Channel 6 just reported it. Concerns over high fire risk because of many dry lawns.
Just when it is critically important for us to soak our lawns to protect our homes, our investments, the town prohibits watering. And again, I state that it's obviously not drought related because if it was, they would not allow watering come Friday.
But of course, everything is hush hush in the town, don't inform the people that are paying.
Our watering day will be tomorrow, I just may turn on the sprinkler.

THEY LIVE 'ABOVE' .... they don't have to tell anyone anything because anyone at any given time might be an informer/enemy or hell, political ally or FAMILY......
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS
