Home sales will boost CDTA pay

Contract extension gives employees raises if economy improves

Employees at the Capital District Transportation Authority are hoping you will sell, buy or refinance a home.

CDTA workers agreed to a contract extension that will provide raises if the economy grows. Since CDTA receives some of its funding from the mortgage tax, home sales will affect whether bus drivers, maintenance workers and other employees see their income rise.

"They have the opportunity to get a raise," said Steven Green, president of the Amalgamated Transit Union local. "If CDTA gets the funding, we get it."

Guess that means that driver in Schenectady will see either no raise or a reduction in pay, yes?   Because houses are NOT selling in Schenectady city really are not selling    (of course, we have the McC mouthpiece, the cheerleader on this board, along with his imaginary friends who will state otherwise, yet not provide one documented piece of evidence that houses are selling well in the city).
