The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Is that the same Pelosi who had no idea what was in the bill and said we had to pass it to find out.

Henry,
I was also interested in that statement, until I looked further into her words.
When Congress promotes a bill, it is then sent to the US Senate, where it is often is amended and changed
so that when Congress passes a bill, they really don't know what will be in (THE FINAL BILL THAT THEY VOTE
ON) until they pass their bill and then read the Senate version... then on to a compromise between the two.

Got it?  Polosi's statement has been circulated around Conservative circles for years...  Just too juicy quote
to let go of... even when you understand it's meaning.

What Pelosi said was the truth, not one Democrat that voted for the Health-Care Law read the bill because it was too many pages and was written in such a way that they didn't understand what they were reading anyway, nice try with the spin.

Now I'm hear what I have been saying all along, this bill is going to void all pre-existing contracts between the employer and employee and this is where the problems will really start. Employers will now have the right to change the original contract because of what this bill did, they can then eliminate or change things such as salaries and overtime to adjust to the new regulations being placed on them. Thank you liberals for attacking the working man once again >

Bottom line, if they really cared about people knowing what was in the bill BEFORE it passed, they could have posted the FINAL negotiated bill online for the press and public to view for say, 72 hours (where did I hear that before?) BEFORE they voted on it.... But that would be transparancy... Nah, never mind then...

Shadow is such a Spin Doctor...
Let me rephrase his post so that even he will understand it better...

What Pelosi said was the truth, not one REPUBLICAN that voted AGAINST the Health-Care Law
read the bill because it was too many pages and was written in such a way that they didn't
understand what they were reading anyway.
Nice try with the spin Shadow!

The measure of care will be decreased FOR SURE! And the hospitals will make sure of that. The hospitals are rallying on this latest SCOTUS decision. The hospitals are expecting to NOT have to treat for FREE anymore!! They also know that there must be cuts in services since medicare/medicaid and yes even obamacare will pay below standard. Medicare/Medicaid/Obamacare and yes even some private insurance companies will only pay for PA's or NA's since their rate is lower than a REAL DOCTOR!!!

So yes the hospitals are already cutting services so the CEO'S can still rake in the millions for themselves!!

So while the CEO'S and the WALLSTREET fatcats have been demonized by the left......... the left just gave them an early Christmas present!!! And all at the taxpayer's expense!!!

Nothing new under the sun!!!

I keep reading what WILL HAPPEN... over and over again on this board.  In 1010 I heard that Gas Prices will reach
$5 a gallon, and in 2011 they were going to hit $6 by the summer...
Conservatives seem to love playing Henny Penny..."The sky is falling, the sky is falling".  They don't base their
fears on facts, but instead on fulfilling an agenda and on opinion.

The Conservative brain it turns out is a fragile thing.
