More GOP "Do as I Say... Not as I Do"

Mary Cheney, the openly gay daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, married her long-time
partner Heather Poe this morning in Washington, D.C., the Daily Caller reports.

The former vice president and his wife, Lynne, said they are "delighted" the couple could have
their "relationship recognized."

And what level of government allowed this?  If it was the city / district / state, then there's no issue, you're just trying to make one... and failing.

And what party spends millions opposing this freedom, and promotes laws that prevent this type of union???

The 2008 Republican Party Platform:

"Because our children’s future is best preserved within the traditional understanding of marriage, we call
for a constitutional amendment that fully protects marriage as a union of a man and a woman, so that
judges cannot make other arrangements equivalent to it."

(Yes a Constitutional Amendment... not a state statute)

Dick (Shot em in the Face) Cheney ran for office with a similar Republican Party Platform Ideals...
Again... "Do as I say... Not as I (or my daughter) Do"

If that were to happen where it was called for an amendment to the Constitution, and the requisite number of states were to agree, then guess what... IT WOULD BE CONSTITUTIONAL.  Until then, the FEDERAL government should stay out of it.

And to say that one Republican agrees with something means that the entire party would mean the same thing would go for the Democrat party.  Just doesn't happen that way.

NOT JUST ONE REPUBLICAN... NOT ONE REPUBLICAN PARTY DOG CATCHER OR REPUBLICAN CITY CLERK...
this "ONE REPUBLICAN" isn't just "ONE REPUBLICAN"... he's was the vice president of the United States for 8
f'n years!

This ONE REPUBLICAN lead his party, and signed on to the Republican Party Platform that called expressly for
a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT to outlaw gay marriage for everyone else, but not his lil girl!

Do as I say... Not as I do.

Posting in a Box A Rox 'Bush era' meltdown thread....

I see Box has not done his research (again) or he would have known that Cheney was against the Bush's call for a Constitutional ammendment  banning of 'Gay Marriage' WAAAAAAAY back in 2004.

Cheney has always been consistant on his stance that 'Gay Marriage' is a states issue and not a federal one.

“I think that freedom means freedom for everyone. As many of you know, one of my daughters is gay, and it is something we have lived with for a long time in our family…I think people ought to be free to enter into any kind of union they wish — any kind of arrangement they wish.”  Dick Cheney speaking at the National Press Club, June 2009

Wow, Box (who is a communist) is shocked that members of the same political party are allowed to hold a differing viewpoint without being sent to re-education camp.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

The problem with Boxy and his silver ponytailed, edumacated, ilk is that you must agree with 100% of the given policy.

97% compliance is totally unacceptable and shows that you have some sort of 'free will' needs to be villified and deemed a 'traitor' to the movement.

Anyone else watch the new series that started last night on HBO called the NEWSROOM?  It was great , it's about a news station that decides it will only tell the truth    It starts out like any other station fox/cnn/msnbc and then the anchor has a "meltdown"  If you didin't see it I hope it's on youtube soon, most of you will love it

I found the trailer which gives a very little portion of his on air meltdown

I thought this was about the impeachment of Obama's pathetic Attorney General. Eric Holder the worst Attorney General in history is in contempt for failing to provide Congress with documents on White House involvement in the Fast and Furious scandal. Marriage is a State issue. As usual Boxy is whistling Dixie.

Here Benny... this video is addressed to you and those who see the world through your agenda.  I know it's a
bit long, but this is how the rest of the world sees today's Conservative Rabid Right Wing.  It actually explains
your concern about Fast & Furious.
