Why does the mayor in Schenectady tell lies? (is that where DV learns it from or does McC taking after DV?)
Good example.
The city assessed at full value, and assessed at house for $115,600
Then Mayor McC claims that house values have gone down by 4% and he makes an official announcement that he is reducing values by 4%. So now McC claims that house is worth -- full value -- $111,154, and that is so stated on the assessment roll.
The house was listed for sale in August 2011 for $114,900. It is STILL listed for sale, 10 moths later, and the asking price has been reduced four times---currently $85,000.
Since full value is defined as what a willing buyer will pay to a willing seller, it is clear that Mayor McC is lying because no one is willing to buy the house for what he claims it is worth. Here it is a year later and a price reduction of about 30% and STILL no wiling buyers so how is it that the Mayor claims that home values in the city have fallen by only 4% (four percent). Another lie, yes?
And of course, looking at the actual sale prices which are THE PROOF of what value is, are far lower than the 4% McC claims
Why does McC tell lies?
