Oh, my octogenarian friend, you need adblock - an extension for Google Chrome or Firefox - gets rid of all those nasty ads!

using firefox here.................ya gotta understand this box is ancient in pc terms (7 yrs old)....I'm running, get ready and don't laugh, a whopping 512MB of ram and a 120 gig hd...I use this for some video processing, any of my animation software, word processing(Office suite and Open Office and I still have Works too), graphics, crimson editor and some audio work, to name a few and in addtion to the internet, at any one time I might have 3 or 4 of the programs running at once, the hard drive needs to be dumped to make space every couple of months...for most things it works fine................most of the other sites I visit on a regular basis ie; NY Daily News and Post, Msnbc, Cnn, Fox, that have a lot of that stuff load much faster than the TU.....................if I want speed I just use the laptop I bought for Christmas.............. ..........................got that sonny

It's ok Gramps - I use my netbook regularly - running Ubuntu - same specs/ram/drive.

Adblock just takes the extra strain off the cpu/ram so that crap doesn't have to load.

It's easy - install it (VERY easy) - and forget it.  It'll do it's job in the background, no interaction required.

The Gazetto no wanna report that the new City Jerk, author of the unconstitutional dog tax, has to run his wife for State Senate? Is there another SS Savage in the house? ROTFLMAO! The DEMS have pulled up a white flag for State Senate and both Assembly seats. No one wants A-Jello another Shelly Silver in Albany.

It all is so silly. Madelyn to run against Farley. Laughable. They just need a name to put into all of those empty slots on the ballot.
