SCOTIA — Village police said an arrest warrant has been issued for a man whose role in a domestic dispute Tuesday forced officials to lock nearby Scotia-Glenville schools.
Jason S. Martin, 28, is wanted on a variety of charges connected to an incident at 108 Seeley St. where, police said, he threatened his girlfriend with a knife.
The woman called police but Martin fled before they arrived, police said. Dressed in a T-shirt and pajama bottoms, Martin was able to evade police despite an extensive search that featured a State Police helicopter.
Martin, a white male, stands 5-foot-7 and weighs about 200 pounds. Police described his build as husky. He has brown hair, hazel eyes, short hair, a goatee and tattoos on both forearms.
Police have not released the specific charges Martin will face.
Police said Martin has been known to spend time in Schenectady.
They should start going door to door to all the vacant/abandoned properties in schenectady. It'll take 'em a while...but it'sworth a shot...yes? There are still shooters running loose in schenectady and those schools aren't in lock down!!
