On defense over Clinton statements, White House says it will not support any extension of Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest
By Olivier Knox | The Ticket – 17 hrs ago

President Barack Obama will not extend the Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, even temporarily, past their Jan. 1 expiration, the White House said Wednesday as it coped with the fallout from comments by former President Bill Clinton.

On Tuesday, Clinton addressed the Congressional Budget Office's recent warning of a looming "fiscal cliff," telling CNBC that the president and lawmakers should approve a temporary extension of the current rates. He cited the CBO's alarm about the potential effects of enacting scheduled spending cuts while allowing Bush tax cuts for the wealthy to expire.............................>>>>..................>>>>..........................http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/07/bill-clinton-very-sorry-f_n_1579068.html
