Come on. What happened to doing things for yourself?

Survival of the competent?

Free trade.

It's like every year they build a stack of tax dollars up to the moon, and can't wait to spend it all.

I really believe the government now exists to keep itself employed.

Public services serve themselves to our money.

On top of it all, the government originally got the idea of taxation from the churches, who now accept money, accumulate wealth and remain tax exempt.

The churches originally taxed the congregations, who built governments, who taxed the rest of society, as well as the church goers, then they allow the churches to not participate in their own creation.

At least it has only existed for 10,000 years, since nothing existed before that.

\

OMG, I just looked it up and Jesus did enter the temples? and knocked over the tables and chairs of the money changers that sold doves.

I never heard that story before. I wonder what he had against selling doves?

I found it.

To those who sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father's house into a market!"

I went to a giant sale inside the church at the top of Putnam Rd hill at the corner of Princetown Rd. last year.

Fully tax exempt plus selling crap in God's house.

I wonder if Jesus would tip over bingo tables in a church too.

Interestingly, if a building is God's house and someone else buys it, it isn't God's house any more?

Therefore property is God's based on who owns the property.

God is probably OK with that.

If a church just abandons a property does the local town or city claim the property as theirs?

God is probably OK with that, too.

Boy, if only we were "allowed" to speak of Islam like this ... or any other religion.  But alas, can't have a Muslim, Jew or atheist offended.

God Bless America!

Muslims and Jews believe in 'creation'/GOD!!  I have a very good friend who is a Buddhist and they believe in GOD/CREATION.  They just apply it differently. They also believe in an apocalypse, but also believe that your spirit lives on after death.

So it's just not those crazy christians. Funny, but Muslims are not mocked in their countries for believing in GOD. Neither are Jews! Only in America is religion being replaced, bought and sold by GOV ALMIGHTY!!!!

Bumble would prefer that the 1 st amendment didn't exist... But it does.

Actually, that is a myth that most people believed the earth was flat before the Age of Discovery (Columbus, Magellan, et al).

And as stated by a number of posts - just because a majority believes something doesn't make it true.

No...That's what you say.

I can apply current, accepted theories and show how 'creationism' is very possible and done without 'religion'

Ok.  Show me the science book that explains creationism without a god.

I would be interested in hearing your theory of non-religious creationism.

I doubt that it will be a science book.

I doubt it will fit the 46%acceptable 10,000 year rule either.

None of those should ever have been needed.

Veterans used to get all their medical care free for life.

Just because they put the word Veteren in a grant or proposal you accept that it is needed and will actually go to the vets?

The entire point went right over your pint sized brain and you managed to find something to use against me, while waving the flag.

The point was that there are a million too many grants, programs and other assorted nonsense from which less than 10% of the allotted funds will actually become something beneficial to society. The other 90% will be consumed by the massive government appetite for more government employees to deny benefits to actual persons.

I'll bet over half of the money allocated to hire employees for that list of Veteren grants would be used for employees to find ways to not pay any money out to the vets. The government motto is 90% for prevention and 10% for the actual cure.

You know, the same as telemarketing solicitors for the Red Cross, local PBA's etc.

On average, just 39 cents of every dollar raised by commercial telemarketing companies for charities in New York State actually go to charity, the state attorney general...

All the salaries come out of that 39% as well.

All government programs, grants and other crap are just more of the same wasteful shell game with your money.

Not to mention that nothing says private citizens can't directly help out a vet. WTF do you need a gluttonous nanny to distribute the money for you?
