Partnership results in new tech course

ROTTERDAM — Mohonasen Central School District and the Capital Region BOCES Career & Technical School have partnered to create the Tech Valley Manufacturing and Machining Technology course for high school students.
The program, designed to meet the growing regional demand for educated and skilled professionals in modern, advanced manufacturing, will launch in September.
The new class will be offered at Mohonasen High School, but will be open to high school students from throughout the Capital Region. The course is designed for high school juniors, though seniors may also take the course.
Interested students and their parents or guardians should contact their high school guidance counselor for more information.
The Tech Valley Manufacturing and Machining Technology course will prepare students for such careers as assembler, computer-aided designer, computer numerical control machinist, CNC programmer, machinist, manufacturing technician, inspector and production technician.
Students who go on to earn an associate’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a bachelor of science degree in engineering will be prepared for employment as mechanical designers, project engineers and commissioning engineers.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
