It's going into the "General Fund," but as we know, it doesn't matter what line it goes into, because it would be transferred anywhere at a moment's notice, on anybody's whim.  Just look at the last consent item at any town board meeting.

Great Job Highway Department.

IDEA!!!!!
This Veterans Day, lets have a Veterans Day parade and celebrate the veterans of the Highway Department that fought the hot weather filling pot holes and the cold and snow plowing the roads to make our roads more passable.  Veterans Day should not be exclusive to members fighting in the military, but all members working for the government fighting to keep our streets clean, our water running, and our toilets flushing here at home.

Let's start a petition and make this happen.  Then lets call Justin Mason at the Gazette and see if we can get some PR through their rag to promote this.

Yeah, those wonderful movers that are in town (whether your town is Rotterdam, Guilderland or Colonie), who are over on Curry Road that wouldn't help the flood victims with bringing in supplies to help them rebuild.  Liedkie Moving and Storage / Metro Movers, Inc.

Although I recognize this as a nayboob attempt at mean spirited humor -- I certainly agree in part WITH the sentiment to host a parade for our hard working public servants who are all - too often the target of threats and violence by the tea - bagging right wing. They do a hard and dangerous job WELL!

How about a parade to honor the homeowners who struggle every day to pay the taxes of these lavish paid employees?    Hard and dangerous job, my a**!   How about the people that work in Ellis Psych ward, how about doctors and nurses that try to keep people alive, how about the workers who go up at the top of buildings building them, how about those that work in animal shelters and could get bit by rabid dogs, how about people that work in mines, how about those that climb tall trees for people that want a dead tree taken down, how about the guys that put a new roof on your house (well, of course YOU do not have a house) on the hottest days in the sun, etc. etc.   And their meager pay and little benefits and they have to go without food, without Rx's, without getting things fixed in their houses in order to provide lavish extravagant pay and benefits.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

No, they pretty much laughed me off the phone.  So much so, they didn't even find out who I was or how to contact me back.  I asked if they would be willing to donate some manpower and a cab, and they essentially told me to go scratch.  Great community members, there.

Yeah, it was less of the community, and more of the Me Generation, or as some people act on here, the GFY generation.

There are actually more than one owner of the shopping center.

Town of Rotterdam IDA owns most of it, but David and Jeanette A Domanico also own 0.02 acres
