Actually, I think that is a great location along the river.   I could see myself buying a couple of those
condos as an investment.

So, here it is over a year later and he STILL has not bought a condo.   Based on the claim of the city is in a renaissance, and the claim of "investment," the time to buy would be now because if one buys as an investment, then one buys when the values are low, and if there is a renaissance has he claims, then the values will go up.

So why not buying?????      Obviously because there is no renaissance.

Here's a condo for ya.   It's even on your buddy's open house thing this week.

That building is a peninsula when the river floods.

So DV, why are you NOT buying one?????????

Obviously you are NOT buying because DESPITE what you post on these boards, you know for a FACT that values under the dems have and are still PLUMMETING BIG TIME.

Obviously you are NOT buying one because DESPITE what you post on these boards, you know for a FACT that the city is NOT a place to buy and that the EVIDENCE that this condo  has been available for sale for A WHOPPING WHOLE YEAR!!!!!

Tell us DV, if it's such a good investment, why is it STILL for sale after a whole year?????   Can you answer that question or are you too much of a chicken to answer?????

DVR can't buy a condo because nobody can. There will be no condos. No one wants to buy property in a DEM moron ruined City. Including DEM moron cheerleaders. They will maybe put up swim in-swim out apartments? For the huge explosion of Section 8 renters.

Leave it to DV to respond with something SOOOOOO stupid.

An existing condo vs a yet-to-be built condo, BOTH CONDOS ALONG THE RIVER !!!!!!!!!

Based on your ALLEGATIONS of a renaissance in the city, ANY WISE person looking to make an investment, would buy an EXISTING condo at a low price when mortgage rates are at historical LOWs, and then that wise investor would make money to then pay what DV thinks will be glorious luxury condos.

See, a wise investor would buy perhaps TWO EXISTING condos at low prices which, based on DV's claim of the city is getting better, should increase in price substantially and then one would be able to sell the two existing condos at a handsome profit and buy one of the new ones basically for cash and live in luxury from that point on.

However, it is quite obvious that DV tries to finagle the truth about a "condo along the river" because it is obvious that the FACT is that the property values in the city are TANKING BIG TIME and there is NO RENAISSANCE.

And the PROOF that there is no renaissance lies in the FACT that DV REFUSES to answer the question of what this ALLEGED renaissance has done to the TAXABLE tax base in the city!    It lies in the FACT that DV REFUSES to answer the question of what this ALLEGED renaissance has done to the tax BILLS on the financially struggling homeowners in the city.   It lies in the FACT that DV REFUSES to answer the question of what has happened to the necessary city services to the HOMREOWNER-TAXPAYERS in the city.   It lies in the FACT DV REFUSES to comment on WHY beautiful houses in nicer neighborhoods--houses that are for sale--sit for sale for a whole year!  It lies in the FACT that DV REFUSES to answer and tell us why retail stores---the kind that people flock to for shopping--are NOT willing to come to downtown and invest their own money, heck, it .ies in the FACT that retailers--those that people flock to for shopping--don't even want to open up downtown WITH handouts from the taxpayers!

It's harsh.   But it's a harsh REALITY.   No one wants to see the city fail.   But lying to homeowners regarding buying a house, failing to disclose IN PLAIN LANGUAGE to the HOMEOWNER taxpayers that their taxes are high because they are paying the taxes of the downtown properties owned by millionaires and billionaires is NOT going to help the city.   For a mayor to tell prospective buyers that they can get "more for their money" buying in the city for a water bill of $250 a year (or similar) when the same person get pay only $25 per year in some towns, for a mayor to tell such buyers they will save money by paying $300 a year for sewer vs "an expensive septic system" which costs about $150 every three years to have pumped out, well, come on.  Sure, if you buy a house with a bad septic, but any intelligent and wise buyer would have the system inspected before buying it and if it's not good you tell the seller you'll only buy the house IF they replace the septic.   And let us not forget that the mayor has most likely not told prospective buyers---especially first time buyers--that they are responsible for sewer expenses resulting from the pipe running to their house!   Tree roots into it, guess who is responsible.  And this all goes together with being fearful of going out of your house at night.

Right on the money with this Benny! With Galesi at the helm, these 'luxury condos' will be built only to become mega section 8 towers. Kinda' like the Bronx.

Section 8/services are the only way the DEMS know how to bring people into the City...even if it's sucking the life out of the taxpayers in Schenectady County.
