You worry about the unborn, yet supported cluster bombing entire villages out of existence in Iraq.

More f'ing children died in Iraq than all the US abortions ever legally performed.

Oh really?  I suppose you can back up that statement?  The current number of "legal" abortions just in the US, THIS YEAR is 476,471 .. over 15 million world wide, THIS YEAR.

55,036,088 since Roe-V-Wade
6,117,858 by PP since 1970

Now - how many children died in Iraq?  More than 55 million?  Hell, funny how those were never reported.

Right wing doctrine causes abortion.

Right wingnuts oppose helping women care for the child after birth.

Start an organization that offers to help pregnant women decide to keep the baby through monetary support.

Women who are poor often face pregnancies that they can't afford.

They abort to not become targeted by the right wingers as welfare queens.

Right wingers are the party of hate.

In Jesus name.

Amen.

Lol.

  Are you serious?

Empowering women by turning them into victims that have no control over their biological ability to conceive.

BTW...There are organizations that help pregnant women - it is often called a c-h-u-r-c-h.  They've been around for some time now.  Almost as long as procreation.

Denial of what? Personal responsibility? We've been doing that since the 1964 Great Society 'nanny state" laws were enacted... that's gone well, hasn't it?

Mr. Vellacott is indeed on to something -- if other minorities can be protected from such hate and violence then the Unborn certainly deserve to be protected as well.

In the words of your aka

"Unfortunately – - the Right – Wing Nattering Nayboobs who control our Nation are hell – bent on telling us what we can and can't do with our bodies, that we cannot abort the blob of cells inside the woman's uterus - - perhaps some day – - those sundry Republican’ts WILL learn to loosen up and find acceptance in their hearts for women who like to be promiscuous without responsibility.  Those Republican'ts are so repressed about their bodies"

OK, obviously I thought the abortion issue was many times less than the real numbers.

You still can't oppose abortion and condone war. In war the innocent are slaughtered as well.

I'm not in favor of abortion.

I'm just in favor of religion fixing the problem, not making the government pass religious based laws.

It's really hard to convince someone with no health insurance to not abort.

Most abortions are performed due to the inability to afford the child.

Make health care available to all.

Make the church get off their asses and convince pregnant women to not abort.

It is a religious argument that you are trying to force on non-religious people.

That won't happen again.

Women should not have children they either do not want, or can't afford.
In a perfect world, if you want to reduce the number of abortions? Make birth control available for free. That government expense will be dwarfed by the savings of not having to support more people.

The problem is the same lack of personal responsibility that results in an unwanted or unsupportable pregnancy, will most likely also show up with the failure to obtain and use birth control products.

Agreed.

I just did a fact check and found that more than half of all abortions are due to contraception failure.

Inability to afford the child is second.

Agreed. That still leaves the problem of practical solutions.

The law is the law.

Solutions can be more easily attained.

Contraceptive failure is going to continue.

Monetary inability is the next best starting point.

I am not against women selling the unwanted children. Adoption agencies clearly make money off
of the transfer of ownership of a child.

How much is an unborn about to be aborted fetus worth?

I have an idea that Jesus would give all his earthly possessions to save the life.

I'd love to see that study. Is it failure of the method, or failure of the application?  are stats taking the woman's word for it, or has it been clinically proven? Since there are multiple ways of contraception, I'm sure the rates are different.

I have a REAL hard time believing the average of all contraception failures, if used properly, is even close to 50%.

If it is, my wife and I, and everyone that we know that has used contraception, must have been REAL lucky.

So far, those who are yet to be human beings, have no rights.  There are some misguided  Right Wingers
who consider a single sperm to be "Sacred Human Life", needing protection...
I wonder if the Rabid Right will consider anti sperm bullying laws next!   >

Sorry, that would be the Catholic Church, you know, with a ban on birth control, including spermicide.  "Right Wingers" have no problem with it, and in fact, consider the use of it to be a person showing their responsibility.

You probably won't believe this lame source known as webmd.com

http://women.webmd.com/tc/abortion-reasons-women-choose-abortion

The most common reasons women consider abortion are:

    * Birth control (contraceptive) failure. Over half of all women who have an abortion used a contraceptive method during the month they became pregnant.
    * Inability to support or care for a child.

====================================================================

I'd be careful calling over half a million women liars.

Now, let's get back to the real issue, solutions.

Here is an idea I had that made my wife threaten my life.

I merely said that a fetus isn't owned by a woman. The father has just as much right to it as the mother.

I suggested that it take 2 signatures for an abortion, and if the father refuses he gets the child if the mother doesn't want it.

Warning, repeating those words will enrage women.

That's my big idea and I'm sticking to it.

Why does a woman automatically get ownership of a child that took 2 people to create?

If a woman gets an abortion with a signature found not to be the father, she should get prison for fraud and destroying the real father's creation.

This idea would likely cut the number of abortions in half the first year.

Come on people. Brainstorm. Find solutions. It's just physics. Action equals reaction.

Find the causes of abortions and create an opposite action, to cause a reaction, of not aborting.

And please, leave the government out of it.

If I got a girl pregnant and she got an abortion against my wishes, I would sue the crap out of her.

Where in the law, the Constitution, or the church does it say that a woman has sole ownership of a fetus.

My wife's answer of, it's her body, so it's her choice, along with the accompanying threats, is not a reasonable argument.

I say "down with unequal rights to a fetus."

My wife even tried the "possession is 9 tenths of the law" argument.

She is still wrong.

That is a law that I would support. Requiring both parents signatures for the abortion.

We could save a million lives in just a couple years with this law.

Dammit, men need to stick together and stop them from treating us like minorities in the reproductive cycle.
