No comment from the CHEERLEADER on this? Can't understand it.   No comprehension, no understanding whatsoever.   "there's a renaissance, the city is getting better"

Keep the DEM City implosion going! The DEMS should be ashamed of their refusal to lower assessment CITYWIDE. The Gazetto also refuses to admit the sad truth that Metrograft has destroyed Downtown property values with the tax giveaways to the DEM friends and family club. Funny how JP and Death Ray are never mentioned in the $5 MILLION City DEM City deficit. Metrograft-failure. McMayor Home buying Program-failure. Proctor's revitalizing Downtown-failure.

And just remember this.   The city DID NOT LOWER assessments!!!!!!    The city dem leader CRAP, TOTAL ABSOLUTE CRAP announcement that they "lowered values" was just to DECEIVE the homeowners into THINKING that the dems did what should be done.

Again, I state the TRUTH.......neither DV nor ANY of his imaginary friends can contradict what I have stated and explained here:

Even though McC announced that "the city lowered property values..."  the FACT is that if your houses is CURRENTLY assessed at $100,000 and the tax RATE is $9.52 (in that example I provided), then you will STILL be taxed come January 2013 on an assessed value of $100,000.    AND IF the 2013 city budget necessitates a tax RATE in 2013 of, say, $9.74 per thousand, then your tax bill will STILL BE CALCULATED based on assessment value of $100,000, it will just be multiplied by 0.00974 instead of 0.00952.

Others also said their property value has fallen by far more than 4 percent.
Jeanne Ertel bought her Lexington Avenue house in 2005, when the prices were peaking. When her house was reassessed, it wound up about $50,000 higher than her neighbors’ houses.
“I know the real estate bubble hit me at the wrong time,” she said.
Getting a 4 percent reduction lowers her assessment from $181,000 to $173,760. But she hired an appraiser who said her house should be reduced about 25 percent, to $135,000.
“Four percent is something,” she said. “But it’s still too high. I hope they are sensible and come down.”

Actually, the official Assessment Value is $181,500 on the Tentative Roll, but if you look the city claims the Full Value is $174,519.   Just noticed that new piece of into on the tentative roll.

Looks like this Ertel person should use these sales (her side of the city) for her grievance.

So, based on the FACTS, based on the TRUTH, based on the EVIDENCE, is her house worth:

$174,519 as the city claims or  $135,000 as her appraiser claims?

Anyone want to answer that question?

Hello, SB, where are you?    He long abandoned us because he's been proven wrong.   Wonder what the cheerleader and his many imaginary friends (for higher taxes) will answer.   We don't have to worry, he doesn't answer.   He's far too embarrassed that the "nayboobs of REALITY" have proved there is no renaissance, AND we have provided THRONGS OF EVIDENCE to prove there is no renaissance; at the same time, he cannot provide one shred of evidence to the contrary.

this is a true renaissance

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Gosh, poor DV, he's so desperate to find proof of a renaissance that he's been scratching his head so much he needs Head and Shoulders

104% assessments are unconstitutional under State law. These City DEM morons can't do anything right. This what happens when you re-elect retired "educators" and failed diner owners year after year. They all must go now. Gov Cuomo must appoint a State control board to takeover City finances from these fiscal DEM incompetents. Just as New Jersey did for Camden. Camden New Jersey North-Keep the DEM implosion going!

Actually they are legal.   Just that all properties must be assessed in the same uniform percentage.

It's merely an equalization rate

Sad part is the blue collar democrap-lever pulling peasants and their equally dumb widows think McC just cut their taxes. That ought to be good to fool them through the November election. Next year they come up with another spin that the Gazette can toss at em.
