On the corner of Paige and Albany St is a huge brick apartment building used to have many tenants. It's been vacant for years.

http://64.132.212.43/imate/propdetail.aspx?swis=421500&printkey=04902400050260000000

When I walk down to Newest Lunch or the store I avoid walking close to the building as

bricks are falling off of it onto the sidewalk

The sidewalk is a mess

Its right next to the burned building where my neighbor was found dead last year.

So my question is  McCarthy and council are talking all about code violations.

Guess who owns this property SURA.

Put a link to show its been unusable for years.

Anyone here who likes to take pics and would present them to the council

There are MANY city owned and SURA owned properties that are unboarded etc.

So why does the city expect everyone else to get cited when they don't even take care of their own garbage/dumps?

Mayor Gary McCarthy is the Chairman and a voting member of the Schenectady Urban Renewal Agency.  Other voting members are the seated City Council members:

    * Barbara Blanchard
    * Denise Brucker
    * Carl Erikson
    * Margaret King
    * Leesa Perazzo
    * Vincent Riggi

We am I not surprised?

After all, this is the "renaissance city" -- where homeowners are taxed til they lose their homes do to inability to pay the taxes, the downtown friends and family club lavish with their tax exemptions bestowed upon them by the ex-Mayor of BS, the savage woman, Raid-you Gillen & Plex, and the council members (wtih one exception).

And a certain board poster says the city is improving but can't explain how a reduction of the taxable tax base is good for the city, how taxing the homeowners til they lose their homes is good for the city, etc.

.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

the government need never follow its own laws. Our government is criminal all the way. 100%.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
