Oh, did you hear that Brucker just now.

In reference to those who don't pay taxes, she stated the truth, that it means that is STEALING from the rest of those who DO pay taxes!!!!!

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wealthy and politically connected owners of the downtown properties DON'T PAY PROPERTY AND SCHOOL TAXES.   So, that DOES mean, AS I HAVE SAID OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER, ETC.   The city is STEALING from the financially struggling HOMEOWNERS !!!!!!!!!!!

Let's see the big (in more ways than one) cheerleader for the city dems try to explain that that it's NOT stealing from the homeowners.   Let him TRY to explain why it is best to have families with incomes of $35,000 pay not only their own property taxes but also the property taxes of millionsiares and politically connected downtown.   let's see him explain WHY it's GOOD for the homeowners in the city.   Yes, let's see him try to explain that.

Of course, IF he posts a response, it will be that he doesn't have to respond to any questions, etc. etc that "the nayboobs" ask.   But, in REALITY he REFUSES to answer because it would be an admission that he is WRONG

The City is obligated to pay the County and School Districts for the taxes owed/not paid because the city wanted to have complete control over the tax foreclosures.  Correct?

The theory is that if the city could benefit on the sale of a tax foreclusure and not give the money to the school it would effectively double dip.

So, The city still owes the School District the $4,000,000 but the city due to the fact that it is weak administratively and legally cant force the delinquents to pay up so......

FACT: The School Budget will also be higher due to the failure of the city to pay the $4 million it owes to the district.  IS THE CITY STEALING FROM THE SCHOOL TAX PAYERS?!?!?!?!?!?

Actually TIB, is wasn't the issue of the city having to make the county or school district whole.

What she was saying is that when people do not pay their (own) taxes, they are in effect stealing (money) from the rest of the taxpayers.   When people do not pay their taxes, the rest of the taxpayers have to make up the difference, i.e., those "tax delinquents" are stealing from the rest of the taxpayers who must make up the difference.

This is EXACTLY what the millionaires and politically connected downtown owners are doing, but they are doing it with the help of the city/county/plex.  These dem entities tell the wealthy that they don't have to pay taxes (downtown) and thus downtown owners become "non-taxpayers" and thus the rest of the taxpayers have to make up the difference and THAT IS STEALING (from the financially struggling homeowners in the city) with the endorsement and approval of the dems in the city/county/plex

I understand your point, but in the case of the $4M, the city of Schenectady is the delinquent which trickles down to the taxpayers.  See my point.  The city is just as negligent.

Have you seen the list of tax "deliquent" homeowners addresses and names on Ch. 18 ?  They have the city of Sch'dy insignia twirling and this gloomy music playing.

I was flipping through channels and it caught my eye, somewhat eerie.

I watched the list twice, to make sure my name wasn't on it erroneously    It wasn't .

It said city to start foreclosure on all these properties May 15th.

You will see many properties owned by the same family. Many in Hamilton Hill. This suggest slumlords OR a certain group  of people who were "lured" to Schenectady with the promise of paved gold streets only to find out that Sch'dy streets are barely paved.

A few people I recongized who had passed away, one in particular a woman business owner on Albany St. who had been there for decades and ALWAYS paid her taxes but due to her death only behind a couple thousand.

Sadly I saw my good sweet neighbors name, a very hardworking man, I know he just gave up

Isn't it ironic that Proctors is displaying the tax "deliquents"  Proctors who does NOT pay taxes. Proctors who does nothing for the average Schenectadian.  Proctors who is stealing from the poor and keeping for the rich.

I know many of the properties listed should go to foreclosure, the slum landords.

But the people who have lived here and worked here and are struggling its just so dam dam sad.

The way the city government is being run will only make the situation worse and more people will find themselves in the same boat.

Home owners who actually reside in these properties, in this Godforsaken city should get a tax credit of a thousand dollars a year for tolerating it.

They could spend it on Kevlar.

Is that the city/county, Schenectaplex, where Ron stated before he will finally buy a home and start paying taxes, instead of mooching off of his aunties?

Gee, DV, no comments from you?

What's happening to your "renaissance" as many financially struggling homeowners are losing their homes.

Are you shaking the pom poms now?

As homeowners will be getting evicted from their homes due to being unable to afford to pay the property taxes of the downtown millionaires, tell us DV, what have you got to say now?   YOU claimed the city is improving.

Is the city improving now that financially struggling homeowners in the city will be evicted from their homes?   huh?

TOO CHICKEN TO RESPOND???    HUH??????    Quite an embarrassment to see the TRUTH - the city is FAILING, huh?

It's SO VERY BAD in Schenectady that DV is not buying house.

In fact, it's so bad that neither DV nor any of his imaginary friends post comments on most of the threads having to do with the city.

DV (and his other names) can't contradict the truth, so he has decided not to comment on it
