Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
The Gazette killed their readership when they went to the pay per view system. I used to have the Gazette as my start page in my browser until they wanted to charge me. They don't understand, people aren't going to pay, they will just click on another source. They must not have anyone capable of selling internet advertising. I wouldn't pay to advertise to a limited pay per view audience.
