It's Bush's Fault... No Really!  It is!
Just ask him!

On the Bush Tax Cuts...
"I wish they weren't called the 'Bush tax cuts.' If they were called some other body's tax cuts,
they're probably less likely to be raised."

(George Worst Bush, in Forbes magazine.)

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Those are Bush's words, not mine.  He must still feel that someone cares.

As if Buck's opinion somehow matters any more than mine, or anyone else's

Actually it doesn't, but I do it in much more creative ways.

Winter is coming....

The Fiscal Legacy of George W. Bush
or
It IS Bush's Fault!

The only defense that the Righties have is to deflect any criticism of GWB.  When it comes to the facts of
his presidency... their only answer is a sarcastic "Sure... Just Blame Bush".

From today's NY Times...

The author, Bruce Bartlett, held senior policy roles in the Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations
and served on the staffs of Representatives Jack Kemp and Ron Paul.

(Not exactly a flaming Liberal)
His conclusion... Really... BLAME BUSH!

“Putting all the numbers in the C.B.O. report together, we see that continuation of tax and budget policies
and economic conditions in place at the end of the Clinton administration would have led to a cumulative
budget surplus of $5.6 trillion through 2011 – enough to pay off the $5.6 trillion national debt at the end
of 2000.”
“Tax cuts and slower-than-expected growth reduced revenues by $6.1 trillion and spending was $5.6 trillion
higher, a turnaround of $11.7 trillion. Of this total, the C.B.O. attributes 72 percent to legislated tax cuts
and spending increases, 27 percent to economic and technical factors. Of the latter, 56 percent occurred
from 2009 to 2011.”

Andrew Sullivan: “I’m tired of being told we cannot blame Bush for our current predicament. We can and
should blame him for most of it – and remind people that Romney’s policies: more tax cuts, more defense
spending are identical.”

I don't hear anyone telling the truth about the housing bubble which was under the control of the Democrats, remember Frank and Dodd, that actually caused the financial crisis leaving the banks, credit unions, and lending institutions holding nothing but worthless paper when people could no longer afford to pay for their homes. It's time that those responsible for our problems, mainly Congress, to man up and stop the blame game and fix the damage that they have done to this country.
