And by the way....perhaps rotterdamians can fill part of the budget gap with the hundreds of thousands of dollars owed to them from the rotterdam ambulance service....YES??????? Ya know, the monies that DiLeva counted on to help pay for her budget? And remember that Marco supported the rotterdam ambulance taxing district!!

Is the town actually receiving any funds from REMS for ALS services?   Last I checked (Nov 2011), REMS hadn't signed the contract that the town submitted.

Funny how it takes Paolino to come in and state...or rather restate...the obvious. I mean seriously. What is new about this plan? The town has relied on fund balance for over three years now. The fund balance is dangerously low. And now they've got a so-called five year plan? This thing is filled with more holes than granny's underwear. It's based on numbers that can't be estimated with any degree of accuracy and includes NO...positively NO solutions to the current budget woes. Increase revenue streams? Reduce dependence on fund balance? Well no $hit Sherlock. But how?

Paolino articulated in words what Del Gallo couldn't. But they've said the same thing, which is that this town is screwed. If you look at this "five year plan" and even THINK for one minute that it's an actual accounting road map, then clearly you don't have a grasp on very rudimentary personal accounting, much less the type of book-crunching required to pull the town under the two percent tax cap over the next half-decade without diminishing services, laying off workers or most importantly RAIDING THE SPECIAL DISTRICT RESERVES.

This is a blustering side show, and it's unfortunate that the Spotlight bought it hook, line, and sinker. Just watch this study get tossed up when people start questioning why we're paying Paolino.

Yep. Only with worthless packets that took $100 to print up. Somewhere I hear a forest crying. And a taxpayer too...

Shhhhhhh... they need the cash to pay the special interests that got them in.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

I thought they were elected as complete blockheads.............

They are running neck and neck with the stunad City Council for worst legislative body in the State. No wonder Rotterdam taxes are the tenth highest in the region. And that was before Diane and Harry got elected.

Where's the know-it-all puppet, big cheerleader of the socialist ambulance.   You'd think he would know.    Oh wait, he can't provide any evidence to support/prove his comments.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
