Famed painter Thomas Kinkade is dead at the age of 54.

Kinkade died at his home in Los Gatos of what appeared to be natural causes, David Satterfield said.

His wife Nanette discussed his family's shock and sadness in a statement.

"Thom provided a wonderful life for his family," she said.

Kinkade was known for his use of light in his scenic paintings.

According to his website, he attended UC Berkeley and worked as an artist in the film industry before shifting his focus fully to painting.

During the past quarter-century, he's painted over 1,000 pieces – with many of his works showing nature scenes, gardens, seascapes and inspirational content.

Kinkade's sentimental paintings were beloved by middlebrow America but reviled by the art establishment. They generally depict tranquil scenes, such as country homes with lush landscaping and streams running nearby. Many contain images from Bible passages.

His paintings and spin-off products were said to fetch some $100 million a year in sales, and to be in 10 million homes in the United States. He claimed to be the nation's most collected living artist...............>>>>.............>>>>.................Read more: http://www.nypost.com/p/news/n.....FmI3jO#ixzz1rMGEnSUx

He was truly a talented artist/painter.  He had a truly God given talent to make a scene come to life on the canvas.

It is unfortunate that he died so young.  My condolences to his family.

No, I think he went to confession and after confessing all his obscenities, the priest gave him a penance of not posting on these boards during Holy Week.

On the other hand, the priest may have given him absolution and told him "go and sin no more."

Maybe he will actually answer the questions instead of avoiding providing an answer via spewing babble and/or obsenities.

Maybe?

Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
