Modern medical science 'makes us live longer'.  Wellness visits (use to be physicals), endless referrals & legions of test to insulate doctors from a law suit.  You manage to survive the gauntlet of preventive medicine & you end up in a nursing facility.  God help you if you heave your wits about you.  You will take the pills that are prescribed & if you do not you will be diagnosed with Alzheimer's, senior disorder similar to what kids have & are given medication for.

The pills you are prescribed will give you issues.  The red skin, rash like condition elderly get are as much to do with medication as they are to do with 'normal' diseases.  Pray, if you are allowed, you are out of your mind if you go into a nursing facility.

On top of all I have described there are the endless debates about cost of elder care.  Why bother to keep people alive if you are going to complain about the cost of elder maintenance?

Take litigation out of medicine.  The government denies us of rights all the time yet lawyers & their right to litigate is sacrosanct.  Time to deny the people addicted to litigation.  This will drive down the cost of medicine on two fronts.  Insurance premiums for doctors will be reduced dramatically & the 'need' for excessive diagnostics will be removed.  Simple, right?  Why don't the law makers take action, answer is lawyer lobby.  What ever 'justice' may be denied the wronged patient once in a blue moon will be outweighed many times by improved health care at a  reduced cost.

Isn't Obamacare about taking care of all the people?  As I see it, medicine in America is a circular firing squad.

and unless connected to true birth to death diseases the other 85% of the pie is PERSONAL CHOICE......

taking care has many different meanings:

1. folks who think drugs take care
2. folks who think they no longer can do it but pay others to do it
3. folks who deny the effects of their choices
4. folks who follow every STUPID recommendation via tv commercials

etc etc

ps....folks seem to think their own body not feeling well requires medication/testing etc.....we cant even doctor ourselves healthy from a cold anymore....we jam the drugs into the piehole and go back to work.....ain't Egypt grand?

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS
