Every time I go to Wal-Mart, esp. the one in Rotterdam I have to wonder if American has not already disappeared, been vanquished by aliens from planet a**hole.
I try not to be a 'snob', a racist, elitist, old fart, etc.... 'nasty old white guy'
"When I was a kid" most people had jobs, in factories, they worked hard, poorly educated, narrow minded to a degree, etc. BUT they had common sense & decency. I see that lacking big time.
America has changed forever, it always does but now we are in reverse. WE are devolving as a nation & the people, well - the common man was a complement at one time now we are just common in the worse sense.
An America of extremes exist. Not the poverty thing in the Obama sense but a poverty of spirit. This we shall not overcome, this will overcome US.
People need work. Work gives one dignity. Work is a four letter word but not a bad one. I do a project around house, I feel fulfilled, we are wired that way. The welfare state is taking that away from US.

PS DISTURBING, I was standing in line at store. You know those stupid magazine with pictures of overweight or near dead celebrities & aliens on them, two women behind looked at one & were discussing it like it was news or fact. That is scary.
