you're making abortion ONLY a woman's choice...which it is, however there's not equal birth control for the parties involved...

so if the woman wants to carry the cells to full birth and the man involved isn't keen on that, then who's choice
does it become?

the one with most anti-depressants or guns with ammo?

Iowa bill would jail raped women for ‘murder’ of single-cell zygotes

Quoted Text
A bill introduced by nine Republican state lawmakers in Iowa on Wednesday would define
abortion as “murder,” sending doctors and raped women who terminate pregnancies to jail.

State Rep. Tom Shaw says that he authored House File 138 to protect human life, whether “you’re
a zygote, an infant, a teenager or an adult.”

The bill defines a “person” as “an individual human being, without regard to age of development,
from the moment of conception, when a zygote is formed, until natural death.”

“Murder includes killing another person through any means that terminates the life of the other
person including but not limited to the use of abortion-inducing drugs,” the measure states
without making any exceptions for rape or incest.

Do you see how he takes an issue and twists it into propaganda?

Sure, that's exactly what the law says. That rape victims will be jailed if they abort the fetus.

I must have missed the fine print.

The exact words:

Those charged with murder, under the bill, would include a mother who takes abortion-inducing
drugs or a doctor who performs an abortion. It also grants no exceptions for rape, incest or to protect
the life of the mother.

Bacon concedes the bill has no chance of becoming law. The bill was sent to the judiciary committee,
of which Wessel-Kroeschell is a member. She said it could make it out of that committee but would
never become law.

Maybe in a more red state.

Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA) on Monday spoke out against a Republican proposal to eliminate
protections for Native American women in the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).

Cantwell noted that Native American women experience domestic violence and sexual assault
at a rate far above the national average.

Quoted Text
“However, less than 50 percent of the domestic violence cases in Indian country are
prosecuted because of a gap in our legal system,” she explained on the Senate floor. “This
isn’t about politics. This isn’t about a debate on what is a good way to win votes somewhere
in America. This is about the life or death of women who need a better system to help
prosecute those who are committing serious crimes against them.”

Sen. Tom Coburn (R-TX) introduced an amendment to the bill that would remove the tribal provisions
from the bill.

sometimes when one accepts help from the government, you get 'protection/prosecution' on one side with a string attached on the
other end.....in the form of assistance.....

If you consider "assistance" the legal system prosecuting a wife beater... then yea,  These women
deserve not to be beaten and killed while our conservative politicians look the other way.

North Dakota Republicans Pass Anti-Abortion Measures In Senate

SB 2303 serves as a 'personhood' bill that declares that a fertilized egg is a human being, and would shut
down the only women's health clinic in their state.
