Obama chose to push the contraception mandate in order to polarize women for political gain. This debate is only taking place so Obama can sure up the woman's vote in November.

He's not "behind all of this". But he did politically calculate mandating the Catholic Church to offer and pay for women's birth control. All the democrat pundits are defining this mandate as a women's rights issue, when it should be argued as a religious rights issue. Rush should have never engaged the argument as a women's rights argument. His "slut" comment advances the democrat narrative in the public debate that republicans hate women. This administration couldn't have dream of a better way to advance this narrative. Rush did the democrats a HUGE favor.
Rush was unbelievably stupid in what he said, especially for a media veteran, but lets be clear, this woman is no wilting violet law student. She was and is a activist.
