Fire damages Schenectady home

SCHENECTADY — A fire that broke out Wednesday night in the attic damaged a Schenectady Street home late Wednesday night, according to city officials.
Around 9:30 p.m. fire crews rushed to a 2-story wood-frame home at 511 Schenectady St. in the city's Hamilton Hill section for a report of a blaze in the attic, said Schenectady Police Sgt. Jonathan Moore.

The crazy thing about these pictures from August 2011 on Google streetview is that it looks the same today if not worse. Same wires going into the mailbox, same busted out windows in each building, same graffiti. How can the city give out citations for code violations when dont follow the same laws on their books? |
