Mayor Brian U. Stratton is very familiar with Eastern Avenue.
“In the six years that I’ve been in this office, I can see that change too,” Stratton said. “A lot of that has to do with our success moving the undesirable or the non-legal element off Hamilton Hill, or the proliferation of people selling their homes or their apartments. You’re seeing that flux move over.”
Yep, the dems hike the taxes on the homeowners so much so that the dems have caused the city to have almost the highest taxes in the whole USA!!!!! In do doing, they have exempted the millionaires and politically connected friends from paying the taxes.
And Stratton admits to "moving the undesirables" off Hamilton Hill. While he was giving his friends and family tens of millions in tax dollars, he was ignoring the neighborhoods where people live.
What was the undesirable element that used to be pretty much limited to Hamilton Hill, Stratton succeeded in MOVING the undesirable element throughout virtually the WHOLE city, through most all neighborhoods, such as the once nice neighborhood referenced in the story.
Stratton claims it a success that he basically multiplied the "hill's" troubles throughout the city. |

 When you can't sell and can't rent to anyone decent what else can you do? You call DSS and ask to be placed on the tenants list. At least you know you will get a monthly check from the County. The same thing has happened on Northside, Mt Pleasant, Vale and all over the City. It's also called DEM "renaissance' and "amazing turnaround". |

what a shame....but why? what happened? is it from the State seat down? sign of the times? it just seems that it's been happening since the 70's.....the 80's were like a little 'blip' that popped quick after

Seems like consolidation in reverse. Dissipate the unwelcome from 1 hood and spread the pain around. This is what the county wide cons. plan would hope to accomplish-spread the debt load of the city to the surrounding communities so they all can participate in the the dissipation of the Sch'dy debt load. |
