With such a mild winter,10-12 inches of total snowfall, just what do all the city/county snow plow employees do with all that free time?   Yes the snow season runs Jan 1-Dec. 31 and that would emcompass the season through Dec. 31, but with all that "down" time how is all  that taxpayer paid time spent.   One would hope some $$$$ relief would come to the taxpayers way what with no use of the salt, plowing services, etc.

Union contract doesn't allow fall or spring maintenance or curb side service during the winter season.  If you plan on getting a jump on your spring clean up, don't expect curb side pick up.TIC
