SCHENECTADY — An unemployed city man who compared the legal system to "Nazi Germany" will spend the rest of his life in prison after a judge sentenced him to 75 years to life for raping 3- and 12-year-old girls in 2010.
Visiting Schenectady County Judge Richard Giardino Thursday called Harold Vandebogart's criticism "off-base" and told the defendant that for his crime, he would likely not be in court and would have been subjected to a much harsher penalty in Nazi Germany.

"This conviction was based on flimsy evidence and hearsay," he added. "What I did receive I wouldn't have expected from Nazi Germany."........................>>>>...............................>>>>......................Read more: http://www.timesunion.com/loca.....51.php#ixzz1kae9yvPc
