So tonight for dinner I decided to make something special. Polish Golabki (stuffed cabbages) with hot, home made rye bread. I served mine with a Samuel Adams Cream Stout. It was delicious!! Wish yall could have been here to enjoy with us.

Sam Adams is a good choice of beer to pair with Gołąbki. I would recommend a Saranac Black Forest or a Sarana Black & Tan (Saranac is a local beer brewed in Utica) as good pairings .. or a selection from Ommegang Brewery from Cooperstown. Besides Gołąbki, I would offer my dinner guests my specialty -- roast loin of pork served with a sauce made with Ommegang's Rare Vos and my world famous Hunter's Stew ... but that would take me at least 3 days to prepare.

If you like Polish food, the Polish Club (very near the Saranac brewery) has some extremely good Polish food.
