And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
I am surprised that the Bible didn't burn your hands when you opened it to look up the passage. Unfortunately, donating a stipend paid by the town BACK TO the town is not giving alms.
oh -- and maybe you folks should look up the passages that deal with lying and bearing false witness ...

I normally don't respond to the other he-she critic --- but I will say this it is absolutely asinine to accuse me of asking the taxpayers to pay for my Christmas decorations.
Uh, DV, please copy and paste the sentence where I supposedly accused you of that!!!!!!! Come on, copy and paste it will you?
I asked you why should the taxpyaers be footing the bill for the snowflakes well beyond the couple/thre weeks that taxpyaers have their own houses decorated. And I suggested that if YOU want the snowflakes lit longer and expanded to other locations, then you should pay for it out of YOUR OWN POCKET. It is NOT the job of the taxpayers to pay for decorations to suit your own enjoyment. Couple weeks of our tax dollars going to pay for the snowflakes, OK, but all winter is UNACCEPTABLE !!!!!!
Since you do NOT pay taxes and you do NOT pay National Grid bills, you have no clue what taxpayers are going through! We don't live off others in a house that we do not own. We go to work every day, then we pay for our own houses and have to pay normal expenses of owning a home from repairs to monthly utilities. Then we have to pay ever increasing taxes. We live on budgets, something you know NOTHING about because you think the taxpayers can easily fit these snowflakes in their already overly stretched personal budgets.
You are such a flake to think that the snowflakes should be lit longer---for YOUR ENJOYMENT---and just make the homeonwers pay for it. What a FLAKE you obviously are!

Ah, very soon we will see another name show up, it will be Snowflake ROFL

The nayboobs will probably want the town to cancel and ban any celebration of Christmas next year -- by anyone.

You just proved you are a flake
Many homeonwers have cut back on decorating their own houses because of this economy and the high National Grid bills.
so explain, DV, why should taxpyaers be FORCED to pay for decorations on Hamburg St????? Why DV? Can you ever answer a question?

It probably is time to buy new seasonal street decorations --- this time we should buy enough to go along Curry Rd and Duanesburg Road from exit 25 to Exit 25A .... and all along Altamont Ave, and Hamburg Street and the business sections of Guilderland and Broadway.
