I blame each generation for their mistakes, and applaud each for their accomplishments.

Some kids are a success because of their parents, others are a success in spite of their parents.

very very true

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

The USA is full of Socialism... but our govt isn't Socialist.
Public highways
public schools,
public parks and public libraries,
Social Security and Medicare,
police departments and town garbage collections...
to list just a few.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Some you listed are socialist, others can be considered a legitimate function of the state. Medicare, Social Security, definately socialism, it is government taking money by force then redistributing it with strings attached. Even direct local taxation to fund public schools as long as the individual could opt out could be considered a function of the state.  But the federal government collecting my money throught taxation, then redistributing through an unelected bureaucracy like the Dept. of Education, to school districts based on who THEY believe "need" the funding IS socialism.  Local and State police is a function of the state.

I agree, there is a lot of socialism in America, and there is a lot of socialism in Europe, and BOTH are bankrupt and printing money and debasing currency to pay back central bankers, China and other nations that hold the debt that funded the socialist west's socialism.  Socialism would never happen without a central bank.  People would not agree to pay as they go for the programs they claim are necessary.  The socialist push socialism through by borrowing money to pay for the programs, then taxing everybody through inflation to pay back the debt.

You are absolutely correct. But not everyone sees it that way. They could care less about inflation, or who is holding the debt or anything else......as long as they don't have to get 'their' lazy a$$es out of bed to go to work. Or as long as they have someone else paying and dictating their medical care.....someone else to feed their fat a$$ faces.....someone else to to clothe their fat a$$es.......someone else to feed their entitlement addiction!!!

.......as long as they can take the 'fruits of other's labor'.........they are too fat and lazy to give a rat's a$$!!
