I stopped several years ago at Mother Myrick's when they had a shore in the St. James' Plaza. I wasn't impressed. The prices were exorbitant for the products offered IMHO. Saratoga Sweets has a quality product. I particularly like their peppermint pigs as gifts. But, their buttercrunch can't compete with Uncle Sam's. I'll drive the extra distance from Clifton Park to Schenectady for my Christmas candy shopping. |

Why the venom SB? Because I like the product of a local merchant who you happen not to agree with politically? That's petty.
Nevertheless, I wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday season. I will say a prayer that you find it in your heart to be a better and more tolerant person in the new year.

Personally, I don't care where others choose to spend their money -- and unlike imposters like hamburg, scotsod and smokingbananas -- I have NOT said anything bad about a particular store's products. I have said that my family USED to patronize them until the unfortunate occasion when its owner - while he was campaigning for reelection - chose to insult members of family. I would add that the comments made by the imposters are not appropriate.
Furthermore, I would add that even when we patronized that business -- we ALSO patronized Krause's, Saratoga Sweets and Mother Myrick's. It is not a question of patronizing one over the other -- because there are a number of very fine LOCALLY OWNED small businesses and it is possible to patronize more than one. |

Good point Brad. MM couldn't cut it here. It lost money because it was overpriced shipped from out of State. Let the demented DEM sock puppets go other there. Judging from the crowds mobbing Uncle Sam's no one misses them. |

Look, he's talking about himself. Calls them imposters, but the funny thing is that these names are NEVER signed on at the same time. Hmmm? |

Again........schenectady should be honored that it has the #1 candy store, Uncle Sam's, located in it's county. It is very successful, employs locals, buys local, increases the sales tax revenue and contributes to the property tax base!! And all this without a dime of taxpayer's money!!
And as a side note, the name, the red white and blue and the logo all represent patriotism!! |

In addition to the signature gourmet peanut butter, the Peanut Principle offers homemade fudge, chocolates, hard candy, roasted nuts and dried fruit. They are also known for their gift baskets for those of us with a sweet tooth. Stop in, say hello and pick up something good to snack on. |

The Peanut Principle is nothing to rave about just run of the mill candy that you can find anywhere. Don't waste your gas to drive there when you can get the best candy right there on Albany Street at Uncle Sam's Candy. |
