We live in a culture where people are endlessly plugged into their phone in whatever form it comes.  No one has time to talk to someone, one on one.  We are a nation of social morons.

Gift giving, why bother.  People give one another gifts that are meaningless because we do not know the person we are giving that gift to.  The people we do not know live in our homes & are family members many times.

I like 'gift cards' myself.  They are like cash in an card.  I do not have to pretend the useless thing I am given means anything to me.

In the good old days gifts were appreciated, once in a while we got a dud, but we were polite about disposing of it.

I just love weddings where you sign up at a store & the slobs who come to your wedding give gifts based on your DEMANDS.  Screw gift giving, buy yourself something nice & pretend someone who profess to care about you gave you the gift.  A gift of love from yourself to yourself.  It is what we are about, ourselves - the big me.

it's called Happy Federal Holidays......

why is christmas endorsed by the government? but Easter is not?'

because the government wouldn't accept a holiday that would crucify it

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
