You know, I slept on this last night and am now wondering if Buhrmaster would be the appropriate one to fit the bill. We need someone with experience, but we also need someone that will get the youth of today, the new voters excited and active. I just don't know if Buhrmaster will be able to do that. Nothing against him, but he's no spring chicken.
Buhrmaster shouldn't have to be expected to bring in the youth single handedly. There are others that belong to the 'republican party'. You can be the best leader, but without a team that wants to play....its dead in the water. It appears that is what happened in buchanan's role. No team!!! imho |

Jim Buhrmaster will turn it around in short order. He will be REP Chairman for the long haul. He has the respect of the community. Not just the youth left in droves. The County REPS are in debt and need his fund raiser expertise. It's hard to recruit electable candidates with no committee and no funds. My advice to everyone including Rampage is call Jim. Offer your support and counsel. His phone is ringing off the hook with folks ready to fight for change. No one else can take your place. |

Totally agree that you need a TEAM, not just one individual to strengthen the party. As Benny said, Buhrmaster knows how to lead this team and will be able to find individuals for getting the younger generation involved. We are now seeing the deterioration of the DEM stronghold with this latest election and it doesn't look like the City or County taxes will go anything but through the roof in the next few years. Buhrmaster can easily secures the lead with the way the homeowners and taxpayers are being thrown under the bus time and time again..... |

Buchanan didn't have support...PERIOD! He had turn coats within his own party that tried to trip him up. Ya can't build a party that way, that's for sure. But now that the party has been 'cleaned out' coupled with a new party chair is in place, I have heard folks say that they want to join the party and help revive it. That is a positive move in a county that is nothing more than a dictatorship. |
