Got to give it to Box on this thread, great posts, especially the one showing the current republican field. While their are two candidates I like in that picture the rest are even more out of reality then people at a phish concert. I also liked when you showed the cut out of Nicole Higgins, she used to be a friend of mine and we lost touch, needless to say she's a great person that has dedicated her life to helping others, I am proud of her and know she is doing what she isdoing with the best of intentions.

twinkles??????

Quoted Text
Example signals

Diagram of Occupy movement handsignals used in London 2011 Up Twinkles or simply Twinkles are both hands raised with fingers pointing up and being wiggled. Twinkles indicates agreement with what's being said.
Flat Hands means you are not sure, not for or not against. You maybe asked to clarify your position.
Down Twinkles are arms raised but showing the back of both hands with fingers pointing down and wiggling. Down twinkles indicate disagreement with what's being said. You will be asked by the facilitator to clarify your objection. In Occupy Boston (possibly other sites), down twinkles go by the alternate name of "squids".[citation needed] Thumbs Up or Neutral or Thumbs Down Some locations use the Thumbs signal, in a non-violent show of approval, neutrality or disapproval similar to the Pollice verso of Roman gladiators.[10]

Direct Response is both hands moving alternately front to back on each side of the head and directed at an individual. Direct Response indicates that there was critical information that was missing from something that was just said.
Clarifying Question is a single hand formed in the shape of a C. Clarifying Question means that someone has a question that needs to be answered before that person can vote on an issue.
Point of Process is a triangle formed by two hands with the index fingers touching and the thumbs touching to form a triangle shape. Point of Process means that the conversation has gotten off of the original topic.
Wrap It Up is both hands moved in a circular motion about each other. It means the speaker should make his or her points and finish speaking.
Raise The Roof is both hands with palms facing up being moved up and down above shoulder level. Raise The Roof means speak up.
Hard Block is holding arms up and crossed. This indicates a firm opposition to the proposal, a break from the consensus that cannot be supported by this individual.

Twinkles and Down Twinkles are referred to as a “temperature check”. They indicate if a group is getting close to consensus. Twinkles are also known as “sparkle” or spirit fingers.[12]

Occupy Atlanta Helps Save Iraq War Veteran's Home From Foreclosure

WASHINGTON -- In a tangible victory by the Occupy movement, Occupy Atlanta has successfully helped save an
Iraq War veteran from foreclosure.

Activists began occupying Brigitte Walker's home on Dec. 6. By the end of that first week, JPMorgan Chase, which
owns her mortgage, began discussing with the activists and Walker the possibility of a loan modification. Chase's
modification offer became official Monday morning. The offer will result in hundreds per month in savings.

Before Occupy Atlanta set up its tents on her lawn, Chase had set an eviction date for Jan. 3. Now, Walker, who
lives with her girlfriend and her two children, will get to stay in her Riverdale, Ga. home.

Great, they're squatters.  Their intentions were good...But I still have to give that a down twinkles.  It looks good on the surface, but if their solution is to set tents up on peoples lawns, it will be short lived.  They need to buy a book called End the Fed.  Then they might start to understand where the power lies.

Computer hackers are avenging the Occupy movement by exposing the personal information of police officers who evicted protesters and threatening family-values advocates who led a boycott of an American Muslim television show.

In three Internet postings last week, hackers from the loose online coalition called Anonymous published the email and physical addresses, phone numbers and, in some cases, salary details of thousands of law enforcement officers all over the country.

The hackers said they were retaliating for police violence during evictions of Occupy protest camps in cities around the country, but law enforcement advocates slammed the disclosures as dangerous.

“I hope the individuals behind these cyberattacks understand the consequences of what they are doing,” said John Adler, president of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association. “There are very dangerous criminals out there who might seek retribution” against any of these police officers.

Another hacker calling himself ihazcAnNONz struck the website of the Florida Family Association. The group opposes gay marriage and has promoted a successful but highly controversial boycott of advertisers on the reality TV show “All-American Muslim.”

The group says the show is “propaganda clearly designed to counter legitimate and present-day concerns about many Muslims who are advancing Islamic fundamentalism and Shariah law.”

Supporters of the show say it depicts ordinary Muslim-American families living their normal lives, and they accuse its critics bigotry.

The hacker, ihazcAnNONz, warned the Florida family group, “Your hatred, bigotry and fear mongering towards Gays, Lesbians and most recently Muslim Americans has not gone unnoticed!”

In an Internet posting, he told the family association he was reading its email, and he provided email addresses and partial credit-card information of two dozen or so of the group’s supporters. He referred to the Occupy Wall Street movement’s slogan about the “1 percent” and the “99 percent.”

“I am going to assume most of the people who receive your newsletter, email you and make donations are potentially part of the 99 percent … who have been mislead by all of your [expletive] and god talk,” he wrote, adding that he therefore would not post confidential information on them.

The family association did not respond to an emailed request for comment.

Last week, a hacker calling himself Exphin1ty posted the email and physical addresses, phone numbers and encrypted passwords of more than 2,400 police officers and corporate security executives.

“We have seen our fellow brothers and sisters being teargassed for exercising their fundamental liberal rights,” he wrote.

He urged fellow hackers with access to greater computing power to crack the encryption on passwords and see if the victims had used the same password for any other accounts.

Websites that require users to register typically store data such as names, email addresses and passwords on their servers.

Jim Gerritsen, a Maine organic potato farmer with a decades-long record of community involvement and activism, has been named by the editors of Utne Reader to the magazine's 2011 list of "25 People Who Are Changing the World."

Gerritsen was selected for his ongoing work leading efforts by independent family farmers to protect themselves from the threat of Monsanto litigation related to the corporation's patents on genetically modified seeds, an effort he sees as critical to the preservation of organic farming itself and organic foods as a choice for consumers and their families.

Each year, Utne Reader selects 25 people "who possess an inspiring combination of imagination, determination and energy," said Utne Reader's editor-in-chief, David Schimke in a statement about the 25 visionaries. "These are people who don't just think out loud, but who walk their talk on a daily basis."

Gerritsen, who grows organic seed potatoes on his family's Wood Prairie Farm in northern Maine, is president

of the Organic Seed Growers and Trade Association (www.osgata.org), the national membership trade organization of the organic seed community, lead plaintiff in the OSGATA et al v. Monsanto lawsuit, which is currently in pre-trial procedural motions.

OSGATA is joined in the lawsuit by 82 other family farmers, seed businesses and agricultural organizations. The lawsuit asserts that Monsanto's patents on transgenic (gene-spliced) seed fail to meet the "social utility" requirement of patent law and are therefore invalid.                               http://bbleroy-permaculture.bl.....p;
