Dolce Vita is a great place for a quiet dinner for two -- a medium sized family gathering --- or a large party.  I highly recommend it.

One goes to Petta's, Dolce Vita and Mallozzi's because of the EXPERIENCE of dining in a sophisticated atmosphere and enjoying the company of great people

One of the best dishes at the old Brandon's -- one not seen to often on restaurant menus anymore  -- is the Coquilles St. Jacques.   Although I steer clear of the high-fat dishes ...  this is a dish which could be shared and enjoyed with one or more guests.

Brandon's also had several veal dishes that were quite good -- I can't remember the names.

Quoted from Patches

All these relocations sound like a band of gypsies...

I will stick with business that stays in  one place and privately owned...like Ferrarri's, Marino's....

They open, close, like water from a faucet.....they have business for awhile and then....why???  because either the quality of food

quality goes  down and portions go less///then money problems....close reopen somewhere else....

Maybe they should all get together and open just ONE partnership, compromise, stay honest....and see what happens...

it's called LAUNDRY

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Brandon's was in business for quite a few years.   They were first located on Upper State Street near where Consaul Rd comes in.   That location was nice but small.  When the opportunity arose, Mr. Williams moved to the larger venue on Van Vranken Avenue.  At this location, he did extremely well and then a couple of years ago seemed to want to retire or take some time off from running a business.   That is when Brandon's closed.

Chef Williams always served the best food and was always very good to my family.  That is why we ate there quite regularly and held a few family celebrations there.  I certainly understand if he wanted to take a break from running a business -- it is a lot of work being an entrepreneur.  But if the rumors are true and he is back -- I am quite happy.
