The goody list of from Cuomo's Economic Development Council totally skipped Schenectady County and Metrograft. $750,000 for expanding the great Fage Yogurt plant in Johnstown which employs 170 people. Port of Albany received $11.5 MILLION for a new wharf. $2 MILLION for a new lab at UAlbany. Troy got millions for a new parking garage. Schenectady County got NOTHING. Another facial for the working together frauds and non planners at Metrograft. |

Schenectady has proven that when given money they only waste it on projects that lose more money and return nothing back to the taxpayer who's paying the bill. |

Hey.......at least the 'working together' folks get those appointed, brainless, patronage state positions. That's where the money goes for schenectady! Ya know....the water goes up and the water goes down!!! |

The State correctly figured if we will raise our own sales taxes we are beyond hope. Cuomo helped us enough by getting SS Savage and Stratton out of office. Another great move was keeping Death Ray and Fat Morris off the State committee. More evidence of what the State really thinks of these local DEM morons. |

Yaaaaaaaay!!!
The New York taxpayer anxiously watch their political masters to see if the money they worked for and that was taken by force by the state will be reinvested back into the city as our central planners see fit. They've done such a great job over the last decades directing investment and centrally planing. Lets sit here and waste our energy hoping the kings feed us the leftover crumbs after they are done using our money to take care of the party loyalist. |

Proctor's and a bike path? Big Whop. Major State economic development skipped Schenectady County. Tossing more State money down a black hole at Proctor's does nothing. If it did all of Schenectady would be booming and resale house prices would not average under $100,000. Major projects are going to UAlbany nano tech, the Port of Albany. Troy and Johnstown which has new manufacturing. Schenectady has a bunch of lying DEM politicians standing over a black hole called the arts. |

Like a new pishaloo for full of s*** Fat Morris. Not a penny for anything that might help private businesses expand like Fage in Johnstown. |

It is a HUGE slap in the face for the County. Western NY did get loads of money because they have proven job growth AND job retention...not simply a 'promise' of new jobs.
Want to speak of consolidation, get rid of the Plex and let's take a page from Montgomery County where they have secured actual jobs. There are too many 'Authorities' in the area, all of which are competing with one another.
Make ONE capital region Authority...the one which is now working....that's absolutely NOT the Plex! Not by a long shot. |

Fulton and Montgomery Counties were not insane enough to create a horrible Metrograft to rape taxpayers while awarding the politically connected 1%. The highly successful yogurt plant has the type of blue collar manufacturing jobs that we used to have in Schenectady County. Before Death Ray and the DEM morons took over. Look at ALCO-instead of manufacturing these DEM morons want condos, bike paths and coffee houses. We have a surplus of housing and shortage of blue collar opportunities. Metrograft is a total fraud and taxpayer ripoff. Finally people are waking up that it has done nothing to bring in retail, jobs or stabilize property values. |

Actually -- Schenectady County DID get monies from the state --- almost several hundred thousand dollars to be exact. The FACT is that the Capital District's proposal was not chosen as the recipient of the larger outlays of money ------------- and we don't know what projects which were included in the FULL proposal were overlooked for funding. I would have been happier if we were chosen to receive the larger state grants -- but at least we received funding for some very good projects. Let's keep a positive attitude and mover forward.
So once again -- the Know Nothing Nayboobs have to lie and distort -- the Democratic Voice of Reason has to clear through the Teaparty/NNTP Republicans obfuscations. |

What we got is absolute chump change. One parking garage in Troy got twice as much State funding as all Schenectady County projects. A total rebuke for horrible Metroplex and the local DEMS. Between the RIDA fiasco and this it's obvious that the State understands the multiple do nothing public authorities the DEM morons have created. Bravo Gov Cuomo keep shutting down these do nothing IDA's and taxpayer black holes. |
