Ahhh -- the sound of Gillen Street is music to my ears.. It would NOT displace any person or person's names by changing the names of these roadways -- as a matter of fact the Nattering Nayboobs of Negativity at one time pushed through a name change for National Guard Road in Glenville in order to force the new name -- Ronald Reagan Way -- down the throats of the residents there.. Luckily the sign was hit by an errant snowplow and the "Reagan" moniker has not been replace due to fiscal restraints at the county.. It is only fitting that Mr. Gillen and Mr. Morris be honored for their wonderful contrubutions as well

Give Gillen a Patroon that award has been so debased by your party. He's a DEM and lives outside the City. Both of these ego maniacs should have manure named after them. Human disinformation machines, over fed by the oppressed taxpayers. The collapse in County resale property prices can be traced directly to these failures.

The biggest traffic change that needs to be made is at the corner of Nott Terrace and State Street.  If you go up the hill on State Street and get to the MVP building then you cannot take a left.  You are forced to either turn around at some side street such as Hewlit or go all the way up to Brandywine to make a left.

So if you are from out side the neighborhood and go through the city due to all the hype and then fail to turn left on Franklin then you are forced to get a tour of the hood (Schenectadys finest)

No left turns from Erie Blvd to State St either when going towards GE right?  Pretty sure.

Yes there are some places downtown where if you don't live here and know the road you are screwed, in a 'Bonfire of the Vanities' way. They should fix
THAT, before someone gets hurt.
They took some turns away at Erie because of wait times, I believe. I think Erie Boulevard just badly needs the traffic lights maintained/synchronized. I don't think that gets done in Schenectady anymore. I drove up from Burger King late one evening, is that Liberty or Lafayette in front of the post office, I forget, and I had to wait through red lights sitting at Jay and at Barett, just me alone in my car, no other vehicles or pedestrians around. Those lights should probably be flashing yellow at that hour.

Right! That has been a headache for decades. Plenty of unneeded lights where one stop sign should be. The City planning department has been run into the dirt by years of hack hires. Lights aren't timed, there are 4 lights where one should be, one way streets a block apart running in the same direction. Then we can talk about Erie by Nott- that's the problem not lower Erie. Metrograft should stick to overcharging for parking and giving out tax exemptions to connected businesses.

Actually --- State Street should remain named State Street.

But I certainly think that the various one way streets need to addressed --- it was Al Jurzynski who screwed up the one-way streets downtown when he was in office.   Just like he screwed up almost everything else he touched  and -- did we mention -- that his Police Chief was the biggest criminal in town ????

And the NNTP/Alliance Party Republicans want to take us back to the halcyon days when  Bozo Bob Farley and "Useless Hugh Farley, Al Jruzynski and the crooked Police Chief were screwing the whole place into the poor house.

Changing a one way street is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard come out of the plex in a while!!! People who come toproctors are coming the way of State Street, Broadway, Erie Blvd, 890 or Freeman's Bridge.

The only folks that come from those one-wayers are the ones that slither in or out of the dark hole. Anyone with half a brain knows they are taking their life in their hands driving down those streets after dark!!

And proctors can't even sustain itself with ticket sales! The eateries are barely hanging on and the metroplex/Gillen wants to open up the crime ridden one-way streets??????

Ya just can't make this stuff up!! OMG!
