Wonder why turnout is so low?   Wonder why people don't care?    DUH.   The dems do NOT LISTEN to the residents!!!!!!!!!    WHY can't they understand that!

This election it was obvious, if McCarthy won, he would run the city with a dem majority council.   If he lost, he'd keep the power anyway on the majority dem council.   What's in it for the voters?    

I'd really like the cheerleaders for downtown who post on this board to respond to the questions....WHEN and HOW do the dems LISTEN to the residents.  The residents scream about high taxes.   Do the dems listen?   HOW?    The dems increase the taxes even more, and I DEFY the cheerleaders to provide proof that this is not the case -- prove it by documenting tax bills showing that taxes are going down.   The residents scream about high taxes and the dems handout tax exemptions---with no end date--to the very well-heeled political connected people downtown thus so the dems have to raise taxes on the homeowners even more to cover the cost of the taxes for the millionaires.   The residents are getting charged with violations, but they can't afford to fix up their homes, so what do the dems do?   Take away the taxpayers own money and hand it out to millionaires who have the ability to entirely fund the rehab and/or complete new construction of their buildings downtown---meanwhile, the dems don't provide any help for the homeowners.   The residents want more attention in the neighborhoods......do the dems listen?   HELL NO, they just totally ignore the neighborhoods and do stuff exclusively on downtown.

The dems attention to downtown may bring people to Proctors who spend a FEW dollars for a beer or burrito, but the few PENNIES taken in sales taxes doesn't come anywhere near the $100+ million dollars in tax money spent on downtown and it and any puny pilots a few downtown properties pay combined don't and will never come even remotely close to how much is lost because of drastically plummeting property values, people taking HUGE losses because they ONLY way they can sell at less than they paid for the house, the vast majority of homeowners who are lucky to sell wind up sort of paying two mortgages even though they only have one house----they pay for their new house and they are still left with a balance on their house in the city.

The money spent on downtown is not doing anything whatsoever to attract people to buying a house in the city.   The ONLY thing downtown is doing is causing property taxes to increase more and property values to plummet even more,

if you think it's so great, then of course you are going to rush right into the city and buy a house so you can start paying taxes, and pay almost the highest taxes in the whole country, right?

Not to worry -- the shrines for former Mayor Stratton and former County Legislature chairwoman Savage are still in existence ---   we built new and separate shrines for Mayor McCarthy and others.  I am not at liberty to tell you to whom all of the shrines are dedicated --- as the Democratic Temple is only open to privileged members of the Democratic party and we are forbidden to describe the full glory of this magnificent Temple to non-believers.

so he's very aware of the drug problems in Schenectady.......OR....they aren't an issue and just like family?

If MCC is elected again....there won't be another 12 years for city.......the drug kingpins will take over.....crime will be rapant.....and

everyone will need a weapoin to protect themselves.....meanwhile, the next 4 years.....hope Pat Z....and the rest of the citizens

No one wanted this guy. Thousands of DEMS voted for Hull. His only budget is an unbalanced mess. He will either resign or be dumped in a primary. Funny how his only support here is non resident dupes.
