Gaddafi ordered an airplane to be blown up over Scotland. Iran has nukes and has threatened to wipe Israel off the map. Saddam was just plain rotten and killed millions of his own people and used chemical weapons against UN laws. I don't believe he was a threat to the USA, we should have just sent in a seal team and killed him.

So it would be acceptable to kill BinLaden just because he was charged (not found guilty) of crimes in the USA???
Where is your "Rule of Law"... your "Trampling on the Constitution"?

You still believe the left vs. right thing?  I don't know if I can even debate people that still are naive enough to believe there is a difference.

.

Then don't.

I had an easier time convincing my kids there is no such thing as Santa Claus, than convincing you the government will always create and convince the citizens of a common enemy that is always looking to harm them.

The states creates a common enemy, so when the state starts stealing your liberties, those people that question the states legitimacy will be called "terrorist" or 'treasonous".  The state will claim that the democratic majority approve of the states oppressive actions, and marginalize those questioning the states actions as on the "fringe".

Ron Paul is giving people the confidence to question the actions of their government and the legitimacy of their government.  Now  those considered on the fringe are becoming more and more confident that their suspicions were correct, and the number of people considered on the “fringe” is growing.

Since you refuse to see a difference between Left and Right, you consider all Republican fear tactics to belong to both
parties.  I don't.

The Bushy WMD Mushroom cloud was from the RIGHT.  So was the Red Menace of China, the Russians are coming,
the Commie Black List, and the McCarthy anti Communist hearings.
Conservatives even invented the War On Christmas...

The Conservative mind is motivated by fear, and their politicians gives them a endless supply.

(BTW... I never told my kids that Santa wasn't real... I just told them, when they stop believing, he will stop leaving
them presents! )

Shadow,
Do some research and find out where Saddam got his Chemical Weapons Technology and supplies... It's an interesting
story.
(Look under Donald Rumsfled and Ronald Reagan, for use in his war against Iran.)

Cicero touts the "RULE OF LAW" when it fits his agenda... when it doesn't... he goes shopping for eggs in China.

Unlike the fearless "liberals" that says;

Granny is going to die if you don't pass this bill
You must want to pollute drinking water if you don't pass this bill
The economy is going to collapse if you don't pass this bill
You don't care about children if you don't support this bill
You must support the rich if you don't support this bill
You must support Gadaffi if you don't support this war
You must be a terrorist sympathizer if you don't support assassinations against citizens.

The conservatives use fear to grow the state and steal liberties, while the liberals are much more sophisticated, they motivate with fear, envy, and guilt to grow the state and steal your liberties.  Both are statists.

In American democracy, you get to pick the sauce you are cooked in.  You don't get to decide whether or not to be cooked.

What U.S. State was Bin Laden from?

The Bin Ladens spent so much time in the USA, usually at G WORST Bush's ranch... it's difficult to tell if he was a citizen
of the USA or just a frequent visitor.

The Bush family and the Bin Laden family have long been extremely close? The former head of the family
construction business, Salem bin Laden, brother of Osama, was an investor in President Bush's first oil company.
Since the late 1980’s the Bush’s and bin Laden’s have also worked together in the Carlyle Group, Washington DC’s
largest private equity firm, which deals in the industries of Aerospace/Defense, Automotive, Consumer/Retail,
Energy/Power, Healthcare, Real Estate, Technology, Telecommunications/Media and Transportation.
In 1998 and 2000 George Bush Sr. traveled to Saudi Arabia on behalf of the Carlyle Group and met with the
bin Laden family. Then on the morning of September 11th, as the planes were heading for the towers, George
Bush Sr. actually sat in the Washington Ritz-Carlton hotel at a Carlyle Group meeting with Osama’s brother,
Shafig bin Laden!

The Bin Laden/Bush connection is so close... who knows.  Maybe the BinLadens ARE US Citizens.

I'm sure you wouldn't consider Osama Bin Laden an imminent threat to America on Sept 10, 2001 either... Regardless
of his citizenship.

never considered him a threat from the beginning.....IT WAS A FAMILY FIGHT....we still trade/rub elbows with his Vegas rich family......I cant believe we still believe the 'common enemy' stories
we didn't for WW2.....it took a long time to take action......

Indefinite Military Detention: Revised Defense Bill Still Gives President Authority To Lock Up Citizens
First Posted: 12/13/11 02:27 PM ET Updated: 12/13/11 03:30 PM ET

WASHINGTON -- Congress would give the president ultimate authority to detain American citizens indefinitely in military custody under the final version of a defense bill expected to pass this week.

The National Defense Authorization Act was facing the threat of a presidential veto after the White House complained that it restricted the administration's ability to fight terrorism and raised "serious and unsettled legal questions." The conference committee working out the differences between the Senate and House versions of the bill added and amended several provisions in an attempt to produce legislation that would pass muster with President Barack Obama, who appealed personally for fixes......................>>>>>.......................>>>>..................http://www.huffingtonpost.com/.....izens_n_1146181.html
