Actually, you attacked me first -- when you couldn't admit that I was right about  large commercial growers of produce who  pick produce early and then ripen them with gas -------------- and I did show you proof and since then I have seen ADDITIONAL reports on this very subject.

You are also one of the ones who persists in perpetuating the lie that I post under more than one usrname --   I don't --- and I will NOT allow you or your bully-thug brothers accuse me of posting something that Scotsgod or GravelGertie or Smoking Bananas post.

IMHO---  Scotsgod, GravelGertie and Smoking Bananas are worse  assholes than the nayboobs.  They are trying to pass themselves off as someone they are not -- and make extremely nasty and often stupid comments.  I am pretty sure I know who GravelGertie is -- and as far as I am concerned he can go screw a syphilitic hamster.

And if you and your ilk insist on attacking  me and my family -- I am NOT going to sit there and take it -- I will give it back 100 fold.

I am NOT DVR, Gravell Gertie or SmokingBanana NOR am I trying to pass myself off as someone I am NOT. I often disagree with you -- DV, yet this time you are going a little far in calling me a name! I didn't think you are a bully since you are OFTEN THE VICTIM OF BULLYING but I am HIGHLY offended --- AND insulted since I am NOT the one attacking you and bullying you the way Joe Bxer, MT, GB and that A**HOLE Alias does. Please re - think your accusations because not only am I NOT YOU -- I disagree with you often on many things and THAT IS CLEAR!

I respect you even though you are more of a conservative than I am yet you often add the common sense that this board lacks.......Furthermore -- you NEVER bully anyone..

You have said some very offensive things -- but I am willing to shake hands and make peace.

Oh gawd.   Now DV is arguing with himself

Trying to make us believe they are two people.  So easy when neither is signed on at the same time, DUH!

It's pressure for CONSOLIDATION......

This will cause an open season for the dealers, criminals, and gangs to flourish in the area and virtually take over ...not that

they haven't already....

Police presence can dter crime somewhat....and they are closer to an area that is in trouble....have to feel for the business owners

and respectable residents......Safety is the issue....and monies should be funded .....without question

City Hall is not the place for this....Tell you what....glad that I do not reside anywhere in the city...

Since POLICE OFFICERS were NOT in this facility --- closing the facility will NOT reduce the number of POLICE OFFICERS in the neighborhood.  It really is a very simple concept to understand --- except for the nayboobs who are either hopelessly ignorant or just refuse to accept the truth.  My theory is that it is actually a combination of the two --- the nayboobs that I have met  (like Mertz and Surhada and Rheinsmith) are as dumb as the day is long if you are at the north pole at the summer solstice.

It was a traffic office but SPD was frequently present. This should have been a SPD substation. How is it beneficial to have longer response times to Ham Hill and Mt Pleasant the most crime ridden neighborhoods in the City? Everything does not have to be Downtown only. Not so long ago Jay St also had a substation. The real point to this is having traffic personnel work on foreclosures. That's going to be the big revenue generator according to these fiscal incompetents. Can't wait until they try and sell this property. Several buyers are interested? All nonprofits. Further evidence of implosion- further evidence of no new ideas-further evidence that City Hall could give a s*** about Ham Hill after Election Day.

"should have been" doesn't mean it  "ever was" ----------------  I know that you and the nayboobs keep saying to yourself   "I should have been as intelligent and articulate and all-around sexy as a Tiger as DVOR"  but that will never happen.

I was there to pickup an accident report earlier in the year.

I can confirm there was at least one police car in the parking lot.

Once you remove a police presence out of a neighborhood (even the smallest presence), you're abandoning the residents. Once you move a business like Marcellas from MP, it's indicating that the MP neighborhood is not safe enough for such industry.

The responsible thing to do would have been to create a STRONGER presence in the traffic building on the Hill. Put another City department there (the City owns the building anyway) and start taking back this neighborhood.

Instead of taking this step backwards, the City could have expanded this location and made a bigger stride in revitalizing a neighborhood.

I'd rather have police officers patrolling a neighborhood by car and on foot rather than being tied down to a desk in an office --- even if it is a neighborhood based office.

Bottomline --  It is a COMPLETE LIE that there is no longer a police presence in Hamilton Hill.
