Don’t Miss These
November 24, 2011 at 11:14 pm by Philip Morris

The next week or so has two great theatrical events not to be missed: Man of la Mancha and Addams Family. The former is at Cap Rep, the latter at Proctors.

Why not to be missed? They are simply terrific. La Mancha, a revival from the early 60′s is as powerful as ever and the cast extraordinary. The reviews are terrific and the reaction of all audiences is over the top.

Addams Family is the touring production of the Broadway musical, with a bunch of changes. The artistic team took the national tour as a chance to improve the story, the USC and the experience. I liked New York and I love what’s on the road. Proctors, as one of the producers of Addams, has an even richer relationship with the show than normal.

So, in fact, the next week has our community’s two leading professional theaters showing off their best efforts: Cap Rep with a locally produced musical of meaning, stature and excellence. Proctors with something of its own loins, not just presented but participated in from beginning till now.

An unusual few weeks. Don’t miss what we do do best!

Thought this was about ripping off the County taxpayers, taking business permanently off the City tax roll, while refusing to pay any PILOT.

Nayboobs like Senders will never have anything positive or valuable  to post -- and thus will never do anything positive and valuable to help their community or - for that matter - the world.   IMHO  -they just take up space and use up resources (like oxygen) which should be saved for those who will actually be of benefit to the planet --- and not a bunch of eternally-negative parasitic leeches like the nayboobs are.

Another dreamer that believes the power of possitive thinking and positive PR can cure the city of its ills.  Like the parent of a drug addict that never admits they have a drug problem.  You ignore their behavior, or explain it away and rationalize it as 'normal', or 'everybody has these problems'.

If only the DEMS increase taxes a little more? This proves once again what hypocrites our 2 DEMS are. DVR keeps saying that taxes are not too high but too few are paying their full share. Put Proctor's on top of that deadbeat list. $10 MILLION from the County, all of the County bed tax plus $300,000 a year from County taxpayers . Then they refuse to pay ANYTHING back including screwing the poor City kids that need a summer swim. Boxy keeps lumping Schenectady County in with other Counties that do not have a regressive Metrograft tax. But no outrage if the DEMS are the evil 1%. That's only for Wall Streeters that create jobs. The Adams Family is typical overpriced crap fare. This must be in keeping with Proctor's educational mission -lol.

I really wish that I didnt seek out these numbers but I did.  Sick to my stomach again. I love Proctors and for that reason I want Metroplex to leave it along and fire Philip Morris.  It was doing better before both of them came along.  Dont believe me, check out the public financials at the following link.  DVR and Box A Rox, the numbers are real and from certified documents with the state.  You can not justify spending $4 dollars for $1 in sales.  I just hate to see the 2010 numbers. It is not generating business around it!  The Parker Inn, Parisi's &  Cornells All OUT OF BUSINESS!  If I'm missing something please help me.

Working together works! Working together works! As your home value plummets and tax bill explodes Fat Morris still refuses to repay ANYTHING to the County coffers. But he bought a new mansion and took 2 more businesses off the tax rolls. How'd you do? The same idiots that think taxes aren't that high think Proctor's is good.

The most positive thing Senders and Bumblethru (John Mertz) have to offer is the ability to sit back and enjoy a nice tall glass of squirrel piss while talking their distinct brand of NNTP clap-trap...

It's funny to hear the DEM sock puppets attack the messenger instead of admitting that one party fleecing together is a total failure. What this fails to state is the huge increase in costs caused by the fiscal incompetence of Fat Morris. How's the coffeehouse doing? ROTFLMAO!!

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
