You can't provide a legitimate answer because it would be an admission of the failure of what your buddies are doing, i.e., stealing from financially struggling homeowners to give the money to the socialist and well heeled political cronies while causing a DRASTIC loss of jobs and causing a DRASTIC loss of property values in the city and on top of that, causing a DRASTIC reduction in the taxable tax base.

The truth is finally out about the DEM liars on jobs. First they lied about creating 3,000 jobs. Then it became 3,500 and by Election Day 4,000. Right from the Joseph Goebbels Nazi playbook. Keep repeating the lie until someone believes you. The truth is this County LOST 400 jobs from October 2010 to October 2011. Guess the State Labor Department is controlled by the vast right wing conspiracy. Pathetic for what passes for reporters around here.

For the record --- I am 1000% supportive of FRACKING --- drill for oil and natural gas --- dig/mine for coal --- harness EVERY  river and stream with  hydropower dams ---- build windmills ---- install solar panels  WHEREVER IT IS FOUND or WHEREVER THEY CAN BE BUILT ... make America energy independent.

Here's what reporting has devolved into-receiving a Metrograft/DEM/Chamber/Proctor's fax and printing it verbatim without comment. Without checking any of the assertions. Aside from the Times Union {which endorses candidates on the editorial page not local news page} reporters here have become a joke.

We have been to numerous political events where there is no gazetto reporter present. And yet, miraculously there is an article in the paper that was supposedly penned by the reporter! That has happened more times then not and has been verified by many!

Thank God they have fax machines and emails, huh?

They rely on the apparatchiks like Gillen the Liar to spoon feed them the story. Then get highly insulted when you challenge them or show them a story (which they then claim is not a story) that puts the ruling power class in a bad light. If you stand up to them and call them, those in the lamestream government controlled media get apoplectic and are in serious denial. They can't see how biased they are because they are biased. They don't recognize that a huge pervcentage of the populace has lost faith in them.

Look in the other thread where so-called "Hack" takes their side and defends them. It is blatant that it is someone who works at the Gazette. If we are so irrelevant here in our own world, why are they so upset and why are they reading this forum? Because they get info here-info that they then filter as arbitrarily decide what is newsworthy and what might make the dictatorship look bad. They NEVER want that, and avoid it all costs, and only print something unflattering when the pressure mounts. They do their best to keep it on the downlow so that the political class doesn't get too much heat. Because they have been inducted into the political class and are part of the official misinformation campaign themselves.

Hate to bring this up, but there was the Gazette reported who killed himself by jumping off the parking garage at Albany Med just this past year. I don't remember the Gazette doing a tribute or anything in honor of this man.

This paper is a Watchtower for the DEM party. Unresearched facts only published on-line (that Metroplex 5,000 job creation joke) and a fluff story about how a Gazetto head honcho is going to bail out Cornells. BTW, how much Metroplex bucks is this guy getting from the plex to bail out Cornells....kinda sounds like the VanDyke ALL over again!!!!!

Negative thinking???      Well, tell us DV, what is positive about DRASTICALLY plummeting property values?????    Tell us what is positive about having THEE HIGHEST taxes in the region and almost the highest taxes in the whole dang country?    What is positive about having 50 of students in the government school unable to read and write?   What is positive about children getting murdered during daytime on playgrounds?   What is positive about someone walking home from work and getting beat up and almost left for dead?    What is positive about people abandoning their houses just to flee the city?    What is positive about people being unable to sell their homes when prices are dirt cheap AND mortgage rates are at historic lows AND the (fed) government gives handouts as an encouragement to buy AND STILL houses in the city don't sell?   What is positive about taxing homeowners twice for trash collection?   What is positive about roads not being plowed?   What is positive about lack of maintenance on sewers & watermains that causes homeowners to have their basements flooded and basement appliances ruined and then the city refuses to pay the damages?  

Tell us what DV, how are the homeowners supposed to keep paying the taxes of all these millionaires downtown?   Explain HOW the HOMEOWNERS are supposed to be able to do it??????

And you keep then you said the county lowered taxes 4 times under the dems.   I ask you to provide the proof and YOUR REFUSE TO DO SO.    Why do you refuse to provide proof, DV??????    Please provide your explanation for how the taxes have been lowered 4 times.  

DV,. when you make a statement, when you post something, you NEED to provide proof.   I ALWAYS provide proof.  

You get challenged on statements you make and you either hide for a while, change the subject, or call us negative.   Start living like an adult instead of living like a child.   My parents always say how their parents said to them "wait til you are grown up and....." and there was clarification there..."have kid," "pay your own way," "own a house," etc etc.  And my parents continued saying that with me and my siblings.   And we say the same to our children.      So, maybe when YOU become an adult, living on your own as an adult should do, with a job, self supporting, paying taxes, and the like, then you will understand.

But of course, mama's boy thinks the taxpayers owe him all kinds of taxpayer subsidized entertainment and other desires.
